"What are you doing in my house Garroth.."

Y/N grumbled from her spot on the bed, watching as Garroth held Levin and rocked in a chair beside the crib. He looked up at the groggy woman through his mask, and laughed softly at her sleepy face and disheveled appearance. She flipped him off from her spot in the bed, and he leaned back in the chair in disappointment.

"Not with the baby here.." Garroth joked by hiding Levin's face, the baby was awake and mumbling about whatever as he played with Garroth's armored hand.

"Levin's very mature for his age I'll have you know, he's already started helping me hold the baby bottle instead of leaving me to do it on my own." Y/N smiled at Garroth, her head falling back onto the comfort of her pillow. Garroth could only guess how tired she was, the baby had obviously kept her up if the splashes of baby formula on her shirt were any sign of struggle.

"Well, I didn't come just to see you and Levin.. I have news on Levin's whereabouts, and decided to let you know." Garroth began, and Y/N sighed before plopping her face on the pillow. She had spoken with Garroth the other day prior to the baby shower, and he had told her he was going to look into missing children reports with Raven, and I agreed to looking into it as well if he managed to find one that matched Levin's description.

"Go ahead.." Y/N turned to look at Garroth with an obvious frown on her face, and it made Garroth hesitate before he began.

"It seems a mother south of the region, past the ocean, has reported her baby missing. The reports came in just this morning since they weren't able to reach us, being so far south. I want to make sure Levin is seen home safely, but.. I don't trust it. So what I was wondering is if you'd go investigate it, with Aphmau if you must. I could even give you a crystal with his face, to be sure that he's truly the child of that mother." Garroth explained, and the adoptive mother of Levin rolled over and out of bed, making no comment on the missing persons report. Garroth watched her with nothing but admiration, as he always did, and he held his breath as she inched closer and leaned down ever so slightly.

"You've gotta hold his head," She began with a small smile, moving Garroth's hands and arms accordingly, "You've gotta support his head with both your shoulder and your arm, and this one has to support his butt so he's comfortable and all the good shit." Y/N snickered, and Garroth grumbled at her to watch her words. She made sure baby Levin was alright, and the two of them smiled as they watched him babble with as much of a smile the baby could form. Garroth felt bad, knowing tidbits about Y/N's past that might make it hard for her to part with a baby, "I'll go with Aphmau to find the mother. Are you sure you'll be fine without the both of us here?" She asked Garroth with a teasing smirk, and the head guard sighed at her tone and nodded hesitantly.
