12. A nursemaid

The next morning I woke up refreshed, but why? Normally the devil from hell is keeping my night short. Although I should be grateful of the extra hours of sleep, but knowing him...it can't be good.

Instead of searching this monster, I went to Walter helping him in the kitchen. "You look much better today miss N/A, is there a reason for it?" asked the butler with a little smile, handing me a plate. "Yes there is, my teacher didn't show up today" I smiled wide, cleaning the dishes "and who knows, he might have chosen someone else he can drive crazy." Walter had to cough uncomfortable, which worried me "Are you okay Walter?" He sat down and gave me a reassuring smile "Everything is fine miss N/A, don't worry about me." I exchanged the smile before turning around towards the dishes. "You should be worried about yourself" thought the butler, seeing me in a happy mood. There is no way in hell, that Alucard will let her go that easily.

As I was about to leave the kitchen, Wlater spoke up "Ah miss N/A. Sir Integra wants to see you later on." With a nod, I went past him, towards the office. There was only the leader from Hellsing, ordering me to come in and to take a seat. She leaned back and gave me her attention, dropping the papers in her hand "Miss N/A, I would like to ask you for a favor." "A favor?" I asked surprised, she never asked me for anything. She nodded, handing me a piece of paper "A cousin of mine, wants me to take care of her little boy for a while, for this we change your occupation, from soldier...to a nursemaid."

I don't like kids and I have absolutely no experience on taking care of a child "I am honored to be asked, however, I never took care of a child before." She leaned hear head on her hands looking directly into my eyes "Are you saying...that you refuse?"

"It's not like that but..."

"But?" she was interested.

"I don't know if I am the right one for the job"

She smiled wide "It would be a huge advantage for you."

"Even if there was, I don't think I could..."

"You won't be trained by Alucard anymore"

"....I'll do it!" How hard can it be? It's probably not as hard as to be trained by a bloodsucker.

"I am glad to hear it, miss N/A. He will arrive tonight" she said, puffing out smoke "I should remind you , that he is quite a handful, so take good care of him."

I bowed at Sir Integra before leaving the office, outside, I couldn't contain my happiness. I jumped around screaming in joy, no more around this monster. By the way, I haven't seen him the whole day and he wasn't waiting for me in my room either. I felt excited not to be his 'little toy' anymore. I jumped onto my bed, cuddling my pillow feeling at piece for once. It was so wonderful, that I closed my eyes and took a nap, listening to the owls and the bushes rustling from the wind. The moon light up my room in a nice bright white glimmer.

Until I heard something move...it was in my room. I opened my eyes, only to see shadows of weird creatures at the wall; I jumped up fast and moved my head to the sound of movement. At the end of my bed, was a little boy, looking at me. "How long are you standing there?" I asked a little afraid of the shadows moving alongside the walls. "Longer than you think...I am Vlad by the way "he said smiling a sad smile. "I am N/A, nice to meet you "I greeted him. I forgot that Integra had said that he would arrive tonight. The boy was actually quite cute, black wavy hair, dark brown eyes and pale skin. His sad smile makes me want to cuddle him. His charm faded away, as he went underneath the covers and lied next to me. "I am sure you have your own bed to sleep in" I said, a little uncomfortable. "I want to sleep here" he said, kissing my lips "Good night, babysitter." "Eh?" I was speechless, if he wasn't so cute, I would have slapped him. I decided to let him have his way and let him sleep beside me. I regret it as he started to go over my body with his little hands "Keep your fingers to yourself, boy!"
