16. A monster...tamed

I woke up from a beautiful dream, ready to face the day. That is, until I noticed the empty space next to me. "Vlad? Vlad!!" I looked all over the place, I couldn't find him anywhere. I asked Walter and he could only shake his head no. The next, I tried in Integra's office, she didn't seem to be interested of that little boys disappearance, she assumed he will turn up...eventually.

At the same time the butler went down to the basement, meeting up with a grumpy vampire, sitting on his throne. "Miss N/A is looking for you" informed Walter the vampire. He could only rub his temples "This...girl. I understand her even less than before. How shall I train her after this?" Walter has never seen him like that, but he couldn't hold back his curiosity "Could it be that she managed to tame you...with affection?" Alucard growled deeply "That's ridiculous, like a little girl could tame me...absurd!"

Walter could use Integra as an excuse, but he noticed, the vampire wasn't in the mood to be teased. He left Alucard, informing Sir Integra...that 'his' little game...is now finished...and that he lost it. Integra seem to be amused by Walters's explanation, on how I beat him. She had to chuckle, once he came to the current situation, on how Alucard is right now in the basement. "That's very interesting" she said, getting a cigar out of her draw "send N/A into my office. I want to tell her the 'good news' in person."

It was a disaster!

She just informed me, that Vlad went back home and now; I have to go back to that psycho teacher of mine...

....there is no God!

To my surprise, he kept his distance from me, ever since I had to babysit Vlad, but his training methods, stayed as cruel as always. One bullet after another hit me from the distance, even though they were paintballs, they hurt like hell. Apart from that, he never did anything that involved body contact with me. His entire character had changed ever since, he doesn't tease me anymore or mocks me at any point...he's just...stays silent towards me. It was no use asking him, as I knew he would shut me up with another bullet. Once the training was over, I gave it another try "What's wrong with you lately? He turned his back to me before answering "You humans and your caring nature...are irritating." It didn't sound like that he was talking to me, more like to himself. I went over to him, keeping my distance "I never been caring towards you, what gives you that idea?" He looked the other way, preventing eye contact "those...affections, make me feel...nauseous." I couldn't hold myself back as I danced before him, singing a tune "That's the power of love!!!"

If looks could kill, I would have been dead by now. But I ignored it and continued...

"That's the power of Love!!!!!" singing louder. As his form changed, slowly...

"That's the power of lovaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!"

From the Hellsing estate Walter and Integra watched my training with interest.

Right now, Alucard changed to a dog and dragged me around the yard, by my foot. They both could only chuckle at this. "It seems she tamed him alright" she said, taking the cup of tea from Walter's hand. The butler bowed at his master, before looking out the window again "I wonder if he would ever accept his defeat." Integra could only grin at her butler "I don't think it will be any time soon."
