The next morning, I got up and put on some clothes. Then I went to Angela's room to wake her up. I grabbed her white dress and a hairbrush to brush her white hair. I figured she must like the color white since she has white hair and likes wearing white clothes. Not to mention, she had pale skin and blue eyes.
Once I got Angela all set for the day, I picked her up and headed downstairs. I couldn't help but hum that London Bridge is Falling Down-it was stuck in my head. We went downstairs and I made her breakfast and we ate breakfast together.
So after that, I read her a story, right? And while I was reading, I heard my phone ringing. But I just ignored it and kept reading to her. After we finished the story, we went for a walk on the balcony. I enjoyed the view, even though it was nighttime. Guess time passes by quickly.
So after that, I got Angela changed into her pajamas and put her to bed. "I think we did it all," I told her. Well, everything except for rule 10. Give her a goodnight kiss. But I guess, she let that slide because nothing happened.
The next day, I was playing the piano with Angela. We were just playing a classic piano song. "I bet we could teach you this one, couldn't we Ange?" I said to her. Guess I've gotten attached to the doll again I gave her a nickname this time. While playing the piano I heard a voice in the background.
"I didn't know you could play," they said. Sounded like Rosa. When I turned around, it was her! "Sorry, I tried knocking," she said. "It's ok. What are you doing here?" I asked.
"You didn't pick up your phone yesterday. I decided to come and check up on you. I can come back if you're-"
"No, that's ok!" I said. "I just wasn't expecting you." Rosa noticed I was carrying the doll. She thought I wasn't ok, so she had to ask: "Are you okay?" I replied, "Yes,"We went into the kitchen. I was cutting apple slices for Angela. "Seems like you two are getting along well," Rosa smiled. I agreed we did get back where we started after all these years.
After we talked for a while, Rosa asked me out. To be honest, I was surprised. I mean, I do like her, but go on a date!? As much as I want to say yes, I needed to follow the rules, so Angela can protect me. "I don't think I should," I said.
Rosa chuckled and said, "You're not worried about Angela, aren't you? I'm sure she doesn't mind."
"Maybe some other time," I said.
I felt bad about how I turned her offer down. She left my house disappointed. After Rosa left, I decided to do some experimenting on Angela. I wondered if she could hear me, so I tried talking to her. "Angela, can you hear me?" I asked. I dragged the plate of apple slices to her. "Reach for your food," I whispered.
Nothing was happening, and I started to get anxious. "If there's a spirit in this room, please give me a sign..." I said. Nothing happened again."BOO!" I yelled. But again, nothing happened! I felt silly and tossed the apples. As I did, I heard footsteps. When I looked back up, Angela had vanished! Then I noticed she went to the living room. That's when it hit me - she can move by herself, just when no one's looking.
I called Rosa and asked if she could drop by. "Sorry for making you return all the way here!" I expressed. "It's fine, are you okay? Lilac?" She questioned. I assured her I was doing well. I needed to demonstrate to Rosa that the doll was alive. Yet, how in the world will I manage to convince her?
