Theresa's P.O.V
I looked at my phone and noticed that Lily's tracker was active! She was in the basement. "Let's go!" I said to Rosa. We quickly went downstairs to the basement. When we arrived, it was completely dark and we couldn't see a thing. I accidentally bumped into an object and luckily, it was a light switch. The lights flickered, and when they came on, we saw all the dead bodies of Lily's enemies! Rosa and I screamed. My heart was racing, and I couldn't handle this madness anymore! All I wanted was to rescue my niece and get rid of that doll once and for all! We walked over the dead bodies and found the doll.
I grabbed it and was about to toss it into the fireplace, but a burnt hand grabbed my wrist. "Lily!?" I screamed. She had a mask on, her face charred, and she held a knife stained with blood. She must have killed all these young people here! "Lily... are you alright?" Rosa inquired. Lily didn't reply; instead, she attacked Rosa! I managed to pull Lily away from her and flung her to the other side of the room.
Lily got up and ran into another room in the basement. She was the least of my worries—I needed to find the doll, but it was missing! Rosa and I went after Lily. After catching up with her, Lily had her back turned. Her bones started cracking, and she began to grow taller. Both Rosa and I ran out of the room. We tried to leave the basement, but the door suddenly closed and became locked!
"We're trapped!" Rosa said. "Don't worry, I have an idea!" I exclaimed. Rosa went inside the room to look for Lily. She found her, but unfortunately, she got attacked. Meanwhile, I had to go look for the doll and burn it. It took awhile but, I found it. Unfortunately, Lily knew what I was doing! As much as she tried to stop me from burning the doll, I still wouldn't gave up. Guess I knew what my mom meant when she said I was tenacious.
When Lily, caught up to me. I threw the doll in the fireplace. Lily started screaming and levitating, so did the doll. "I will return....I WILL RETURN!" Lily yelled in a demonic voice. Lily fainted and fell to the ground. Rosa ran up to her, and carried her in her arms. "Call an ambulance!" She yelled.
In the hospital, the doctor told me that Lily was good and they'd keep a close eye on her. As I sat next to her, all these memories of us flooded my mind. Lily was always full of life and laughter, she'd light up any room she walked into. Losing her would be unbearable.
Out of nowhere, the room was filled with beeping machines and nurses rushed in. My heart was going crazy as I watched them work their butts off to stabilize Lily. Each second felt like forever and I begged any higher power out there to spare her life.
But then, like a miracle, Lily's vitals started to stabilize. The doc said she woke up and was responding well to treatment. A wave of relief washed over me and I couldn't help but cry tears of joy. Lily was gonna be fine.
As I held Lily's hand and whispered words of love and support, I promised myself to cherish every moment with her. Life is fragile and unpredictable, but in that moment, all that mattered was that Lily was alive and fighting.
Rosa was the most relieved because she kissed Lily the moment she woke up!I hugged Lily, Rosa joined in. I'll never keep any secrets from her again. Then again, I couldn't get that thought out of my mind. "I will return..."
What was that supposed to mean?
