13: The fan

"Eva?! Is that you sweetie?" Heather asked.

All I could hear after was muffled yelling from outside. And banging on the front door.

A few moments later, Heather entered the room we were sleeping in.

At this point, we had all already woken up.

"Guys I have a surprise..." Heather let out.

"Is it sugar cookies? I love sugar cookies," Jade stated.

Me and Maria looked at her confused.

"What? Old women always make sugar cookies," She added.

"Jade!" Maria exclaimed.

"Haha it's okay, she's right, there's cookies in the oven right now," Heather said.

"What's your surprise?" I asked.

"Eva's finally here!" She said excitingly.

All of our faces dropped. We immediately got up and collected all our stuff.

"Woah what's going on?" Heather asked.

"Did you let her in?!" Maria asked.

"She's waiting outside," Heather replied.

I took a small sigh of relief.

"We have to go," I said.

I got up and walked out of the room and into the living room.

"Why so soon?" Heather asked.

"Eva... um wants us to leave with her... she's our ride home," I lied... again.

"But, your car is outside..." Heather added.

I awkwardly laughed.

Suddenly, the front door barged open.

"Eva! I told you to wait patiently! I wanted to surprise you," Heather said to Eva.

Eva ignored her and walked straight to me.

She grabbed my arm aggressively.

Jade and Maria came in and pulled me back.

"What's going on here?" Heather asked.

I'm shitting my pants... that's what's happening.

"I'm just really excited to see them," Eva lied.

"Oh, well I'll be right back, I'm going to check on the cookies," Heather said as she walked away.

Eva set her eyes back on me.

"Damn, why you only coming at me? We all ran away," I stated.

"You just gonna throw us under the bus like that?" Jade asked.

Eva walked towards the door and opened it.

"We're leaving. Right now," she demanded.

We just stood there looking at her.

"Now!" She yelled out.

We quickly made our way outside.

That's when I saw Jayla standing there with her arms crossed and a smile on her face.

"Your little plan didn't work out?" She asked.

"You're such a bitch for snitching," Jade said.

Maria laughed at Jade's comment.

"I just knew what was best for me," Jayla said.

"Did she even fuck You?" Maria asked.

Jayla stayed quiet.

"Ha! You pick me bitch. She probably hasn't even touched you since she got back!" Maria laughed.

"You snitched for no reason," Jade added.

"That's enough," Eva said.

She opened the car door and told everyone to get in.

I didn't want to give up this easily, so I didn't go in.

"Did you not hear me?" Eva asked.

"I heard."

"Then get in," she said.

"Make me," I said.

"Ooooo girl, she's gonna send you to the basement again," Jade yelled out to me.

"Dude shut up," Maria said.

"How about you both shut up," Jayla said.

Those three were all squished in the back seat. It was kinda funny.

Eva walked up closer to me and grabbed my hair.
She started pulling me into the car.

"Eva? Is that you?" I heard a small voice say.

We both looked for who said that.

And we saw a little girl on the side walk.

She walked closer to us.

"It is you!" She exclaimed as she ran to hug Eva.

"Oh hey cutie," Eva said as she hugged her tight.

"What were you doing just now?" The little girl asked.

"I was Um... helping her get gum out of her hair," Eva lied.

"Yeah, it's out now," I added.

"What's your name hun?" Jade yelled from inside the car.

"My name's Ella," She said.

She was so cute.

"And where's your parents?" Eva asked her.

"At home. I ran after your car when I saw you," Ella said.

"You ran from home?!" Jade yelled.

"Stop yelling in my ear," Jayla said.

"Are you squished?" Ella asked.

"Yes, I'm taking the other car," Maria said as she got up.

"Me too," Jade said as she followed Maria.

Eva couldn't say anything in front of the kid, so she didn't.

"Can I come to your house?" Ella asked.

"Um no-"

"Ooo we could make cookies!" I said excitedly.

The longer Ella stays around, the longer it'll take Eva to get back at us for leaving.

"I love cookies!" Ella exclaimed.

....

We were in the car on the way home.

I had to sit next to Jayla while Ella sat in the front seat with Eva.

If I throw Jayla out of the car... you know why.
