scott was looking out the window, he hasnt been outside in forever.
he felt bad. he hurt owen—owen was his best friend!
he realized a damp piece of wood, it recently rained, so he assumed that the rain wetted the window ceil. he could nibble his way out! maybe then he will never hurt any rat again.
he started chewing on the wood, and he heard a human behind him
he quickly hid behind a plant
"damn it! these damn rats are chewing on everything these days."
'haha..whoops.' scott thought to himself
the human moved the plant, and scott quickly moved with it, but not before the human saw the pink tail
"speak of the devil!"
he grabbed the rat and shoved it in a moveable cage
"what is up with you chewing everything!"
a group of rats started sqeaking, and then they saw the human.
"is that..scott?" bek asked
"where?" owen replied
"in the cage the janitor is holding!"
"oh—it is!" owen said
the janitor put the cage on the counter and walked away
owen, bek, and acho then came up save him
"owen!" scott exclaimed
"were here too" bek said
"oh—hey guys!"
"we can see who you like more" bek replied
"i think i can get you out..this is a weird cage though.."
owen tried to bend the bars, but it didnt work
"maybe its the same thing for apo," started acho "we might need to find a button—heres a book!"
they read the book, and soon scattered around, looking for a stone button. acho checked the maids room, owen checked the basement, and bek checked the kitchen. the one who found the button was owen, he let them know and they all headed back
"how many other rats think this is their place?!" the janitor said to the rat
no response.
"goddamnit! why wont you say anything?! i know you can read, write, and understand us!"
"not my fault" scott said, but it came out as squeaks
"ugh..this is pointless. ill just get you..some—food! yeah, some food!" the janitor ran off, and the rats came up to the cage
"we found the button!!" bek exclaimed
owen placed it down and opened the cage.
"hurry—lets go!!" acho said as they ran off
they made it back to the attic and scott started telling every rat about what has happened, completely forgetting thag he hurt owen
