Chris's POV

Devin's ankle bothered him for several days. His mom even took him to the doctors to have them check on it. The only solution they offered was surgery to fiddle with whatever was causing the pain. But for them to do the surgery, he had to be a certain size so he wouldn't have complications in surgery. Having the surgery didn't matter to him; it would fix it, make it worse, or do nothing. School wasn't easy but he went. I kept an eye on him and so did the boys. Luckily, at least one of us had a class with him. Once everyone knew he was in our group, we got a lot of them to back off. I guess being the only Goths in school and having been rumored to do black magic, people are afraid of us. Of course we don't do animal sacrifices and worship Satan, but people make assumptions and it's easier to scare a group of people that think you worship the dark lord rather than the 'good' one. I personally don't really belief one religion is better than the other.

We've also expanded the group we bung out with a little bit. Ashley Purdy and Brett Von Dhell began to hang out with us more. Ashley told us his story, He had it rough at times but he still tried to appear to be the fun loving guy we all saw him us. Underneath the pervy attitude, he was really shy. Brett also told us his story. Like Ashley, there was a lot to him. Both fit really well into our group. Ashley and Balz hit it off really good. Brett and Nikki hit it off well too and so Brett's been in with the New Years Day people. I was glad to see everyone fit in together. Tony, who for the most part was silent half the time, got on good with Devin and Nikki.

We've been able to keep Devin out of harms way as much as we could. I took him to school and drove him home everyday. While Motionless had band practice, he either watched or hung out with Ashley and Nikki. He helped us write a few new songs. The first one he helped us write was called unstoppable, Devin inspired me.

Halloween was in a few days and I was still unsure of what I wanted to dress up as. The band got lucky and got a show at a decent sized venue, head lining AND we got paid. However, it was in the next town over, but we all had cars and planned on driving together.T here was also an after party we were invited to, so that was pretty cool. Devin suggested we could dress up as Tim Burton characters.

Devin has been doing better. It'd been a week and half since his mom confronted him about his medications. She would hand him pills and make him take them. I had noticed a small difference in him, He was quieter at times and also a bit moodier than normal, but he was still adjusting to his medications so I understood. I'd also been able to get him to eat small snacks in the morning and at school. His mom gave me the list of food that the doctors suggested. With him eating a little bit, he had more a bit more energy and had less intense headaches.

I had yet to confront him about the razors because I didn't know how. When I figured out what to say, I would. Ricky told me to just wait and see if he had stopped or if he had kept going. Part of me hoped I wouldn't have to say something but I knew I had to. If only I knew what to say.
