Devin's POV
Halloween was today and I had yet to do my makeup, let alone Chris's. I was going to make him into Jack the pumpkin king. Getting out all of my makeup stuff, I had him sit on my bed as I began to do my magic. It took 45 minutes but I got it to my liking, and more importantly, his liking. I had no clue what I wanted to wear. Chris laughed at me pacing back and forth trying to figure out what to put on. Flipping him off, I turned back to rummaging through my closet. "Devin, sit down. No matter how many times you go through the closet, new clothes are not going to appear." Rolling my eyes, I sat down.
He went through the closet and when he found something and threw it at me within seconds, I wanted to slap his gorgeous face out of frustration. Looking down in my lap, there was a red plaid mini skirt, skin colored tights, knee high socks and a black corset like top. I guess I gave him a look and he said, "I'll cover my eyes and I wont peek." Quickly putting the outfit on, I checked how it looked in the mirror and loved it. "Okay, it looks nice and all but what am I?" He smiled and said, "well if you did your make up right, you could be a zombie or you could be a ghost." Zombies were cool and all but they didn't make me want to dress like on. I winked and told him he would see what I was when I was done. Closing the door, I went through my makeup bag to find what I needed to construct the look I was going for.
What seemed like a century later, which in reality was probably 45 minutes, I came out of the bathroom. When Chris saw me, he winked and said, "You look amazing." Smiling, I grabbed his hand and led him downstairs. We sat around my living room for a bit before the guys texted us saying they were here to pick us up for the concert. Balz was driving Ricky and us while everyone else rode with Ryan. The vibe in the car was overall very excited, The guys were all pumped to be playing a big venue and be head lining it. By the time we arrived at the venue, the guys realized how real this opportunity was. A few days ago they had asked me if I could sell merch for them with Ashley (the guy). I wasn't too sure about doing but Ash (the girl) told me that New Years day would also be performing and she said it would be something I would not want to miss.
Ultimately, she convinced me to do it since here I am now setting up the merch table. The guys have already gone back stage to set up so it was just Ash and I setting up stuff. There were some shirts that Chris had designed and made by hand as well as CDs that Balz and Ricky had made. Most of it was reasonably priced and I had a cup that said "Tips." Doors opened at 7 and it was now 6:50. Checking my phone, Chris sent me a picture of him and the guys.
Time crawled by but sooner rather than later, doors opened. Slowly but surely the place filled up. A few people bought some stuff but not a whole bunch was sold just yet. The first opening band played and they were all right, with some work, they'd be decent in a while. The band that came next was called: The Relapse Symphony. It sounded familiar. When the vocals came on over the microphone, I realized why. It was Brett's band. They were quite good. I found myself nodding along with the beat on occasion. By the time their set ended, Ash had sold a few of their CDs.
A little while later, New Years Day took the stage. Ashley had brought this really amazing energy on with her. Her hair looked amazing when she whipped it around. Near the end of their set, Chris came on and did a song with her. I was really impressed with the show they put on. Again, Ash had sold a lot of the NYD merch, which really wasn't much but it was more than what Brett's band had. By the Time Motionless came on, it was well after 9.
The show they put on was fantastic. I was impressed by each one of the members. Ricky and Ryan were good at what they did. Balz, in terms of what he's said before, " I get stupid on stage," he does weird shit. It's pretty funny to watch though. Chris of course my favorite. The way he captured you and then sang, was amazing. He also looked pretty hot in the makeup I did for him. Their set eventually ended somewhere around 10, other bands were set to play but mostly only as background noise for the bar. Ash and me sold quite a bit more merch before we packed up and left to go to the party. I went in the new years day car with Ashley (the guy). By the time we all made it to the party, the party was going strong.
As we were walking in, random people handed us alcohol in red cups. Taking a sip, I deemed it beer. As I sipped on my bear, I went looking for Chris. Room by room, I went searching. When I couldn't find him, I found more alcohol. Finding a bottle of Vodka, I sat by myself drinking it. Brett found me and joined me, along with the whiskey bottle he had in his grip. It wasn't too long after he came that his band mate JC came in and saw Brett next to me. "Cant keep the whiskey from him, can we. Every single time I turn around he has a bottle." He mumbled before taking the bottle away from Brett and trying to pick him up. When he struggled, I helped him. Brett was giggling and saying how much he loved JC.
Once he had gotten Brett in his car, he went home. Going back in, I found another bottle made it my friend. A couple, okay, several drunk guys hit on me and it made my skin crawl. One guy tried to grope me but Balz and Ricky saw the guy and quickly intervened, thankfully. Throughout this, I still had yet to find Chris. I was getting worried because I couldn't find him. Going up to the second floor, I saw a bunch of kids in a circle playing one of those stupid games. "We're playing 7 minutes of heaven, wanna play?" a random kid asked.
As the kid finished saying that, Chris and some chick came out of a room. Her clothes (which was a slutty nurse costume) were pulled the wrong way, her hair was messed up and her makeup was smeared. Chris's makeup was messed up and his clothes were disheveled. The look he gave me said it all. Flipping him off, I turned around and I walked away. "Devin, please just hear me out." raising my hand above my head, I flipped him off again before finding the front door and running out.
My stomach was lunging, my head swirling and I had the overwhelming urge to be sick. Throwing up, I released all the alcohol from my stomach. At the moment, there was nothing more than my bed that I wanted. But, I had no clue where I was or how to get home. Sitting down on the curb, I began to cry. I felt a hand on my shoulder, Looking up I saw Ashley. Sitting down beside me, she pulled my head to her shoulder and played with my hair as I cried. Nikki eventually came around and said that he found the guys and they planned on leaving. While Anthony drove, Ash and Nikki comforted me. Apparently they had witnessed the whole thing. What hurt the most was that Chris wasn't even technically mine. He made me believe we were a thing and could be a thing but then he went and did this.
The rest of the night blurred into early morning and then into dawn, as I got no sleep. Ashley had taken me to her house where her mom had let the guys stay for the night. Nikki and I had shared a bed. Ash had given me fresh clothes that didn't have my vomit on them and helped me take of my makeup since it was a mess all over my face.
I was thankful that as Nikki slept, he stayed on his side of the bed and did not move at all. Sleep did not come to me whatsoever. Watching the sunrise, I yawned. Closing my eyes, sleep finally took me and I was welcoming the familiar nothingness.
