Chapter 2

"Who You Are"

Alan was walking around the HQ, looking around for new things. He discovered there was a park in the HQ... Like a literal park! The roof is made of some invisible forcefield which protects from oncoming attacks and gives a nice view of the sky. He then visited the shopping centre, looking around for shops that might catch his eyes... One particular store did, called 'Omega Mart'. The store looked really funky from the outside and he chuckled at it, because he thought that it looked funny... Despite all that, there was just this ominous feeling about the store that he didn't get, so he turned around and continued on his walk. Along the way, he bumped into an Umbreon... Who had a white scarf and goggles

"Ouch..." He said while rubbing his head, "Sorry, didn't watch where I was going." The Umbreon apologized but saw who was standing infront of him, "Hey! You are the new guy right right?" He asked with an excitement in his tone

"Uh... Yeah?" He asked, unsure of what his motive was but he knew it wasn't going to be bad

"Hello, nice to meet you, I am a Gai." He introduced himself, "And don't worry, I already know you are a Speed... I think you are called Alan right?" He guessed and waited for his answer

Alan cleared his throat, "Yes, but I supposed you aren't the only Gai here. What do they call you?" He asked. The Umbreon was about to answer when someone called him from behind

"Time, what's keeping you so long?!" He shouted and then two Pokemons approached... They were both Umbreons though one looked oddly weird

"Naps and I've been waiting for you." The weird Umbreon addressed the other Umbreon... Who had headphones on and looked pretty pale

"I-it's fine if you are busy Time." He quickly added in. He had a blank look to his face and seemed way too shy compared to the others

"Ah sorry sorry, but hey! I met the new guy!" He shouted while putting one of his arms up and the other down and introduced Alan

"Hi, it is nice to meet you... I guess." Alan greeted with a simple nod, he had hoped to meet more of them anyway

"Ah, nice to meet you too. I'm Shadow and this is Napstablook... Or we simply call him Naps." He introduced the other along with him who gave a simple wave, "And before you say anything, no, I am not an Umbreon. I am Speed that is made of shadow and hence, they call me Shadow." He explained with a short eye roll while Alan looked at him in surprise, "... You thought I was an Umbreon... Didn't you?" He looked annoyed while Alan simply looked away. The shadow Jolteon sighed while pinching his nose bridge, "It's fine, this happens as I'm always seen hanging out with these two... Gotta keep 'em out of trouble you know?" He joked at the last part which caused Alan to chuckle

"What do you mean by that?!" Time exclaimed with a small pout which Shadow to look at him with a stare

"You know exactly what I am talking about." He got closer to Time, "Amber told me to look after you while she is busy... I can't imagine the trouble she has to go through to look after... Talk about a good girlfriend." Shadow now turned to Alan while Time let out a breath he didn't know he was holding, "I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but we must take our leave." We that, he nodded while Naps dragged Time... At first, phasing through him on accident and later pulling him away

Alan looked lost, "What just happened?" He thought but shook his head, and looked at the time. To his surprise, it was almost time as there was only 7 minutes left so he quickly ran
