Levi Chrisworth opened the door, "after you," he says with a tinge of cheerfulness. Does making a new friend really have that big an impact on the first day? I, for instance, would never know because I've never moved or transferred to any other school but stayed in the glorified halls of Owl High with its signature crest of an owl soaring the depths of the clouds and a cheesy-ass quote to go along with it,"The sky is the limit. Go as high as you can". Yeah I know its pretty lame. Even saying "lame" is kind of lame. Which of course I am lame so it doesn't make any difference now does it? Andbutso maybe making friends helps his insecurity of being new and all the overwhelming things he has to go through the first day is released and the tension that goes along with it eases up a bit. I imagine Levi was worried that he wouldn't make a friend today. The worry and nervousness I saw in his eyes seems to agree with this predicament, and even more still when he immediately relaxed at my confirmation of being his friend albeit the first.
I stepped inside the room and all eyes were on me for a millisecond then everyone's eyes were fixated on Levi.
"Oh. My. God. He's hot af" someone yelled
"Totes" said another
The room was immediately filled with an excruciating amount of giggles from the girls and a few eye rolls from the guys. I notice Helena Fletcher turn pink and staring raptly at Levi; fluttering her eyelashes and throwing her hair back noticeably. I look over the room and I see Samuel and Andrea not even giving a fuck. They always sit next to each other even if most of the teachers don't particularly allow it, but Samuel always gets his way. They can be considered my friends but it's more like a partnership really. He is a master manipulator. And I'm a master at giving him mints. What a great deal. He usually trades me the common gossip and secrets in school since he is awesome in that area of expertise.
Behind them near the window seat is Tiff Kiss Davidson talking to Manuel and Alexah who are also not paying that much attention to the new kid, although I see Tiff constantly glance sideways at Levi. I spot Alex Wolf and Jo Dunks making impressions of all the girls that are staring at Levi and I forced myself not to laugh. Seeing almost every girl in this room intoxicated by him doesn't surprise me of course but still it is very very interesting. Mrs. Carrolajoyce stood up from her desk.
"Ms. Hennessy you are late but I see that you have brought our new student in class, Mister ummm?
"Chrisworth, Levi Chrisworth"
"Ahhh Mr. Chrisworth. Principal Delilah has had mentioned. Welcome to Owl High, we are lucky to have you. You may take your seat opposite Ms. Hennessy's since it is not vacated. Blue, please be cautious of your tardiness because you are not showing our new student how we are suppose to handle things in Owl High. Take your seats please."
^Seating arrangements are as follows^
My seat wasn't very far from the door so I pulled up my chair and sat down. Everyone's eyes were still engrossed on Levi. I sighed. Well don't expect to be friends with him any longer with all the attention hes getting. He sat down opposite me and glanced my way. I glanced back. Our eyes met. He grinned. I blushed and returned his smile.
"Guess we'll be working together from now on", he said
"I guess so"
"Care to show me around school maybe?"
"Sure but I'm only doing it cuz you're new, okay?"
"Of course"
"You're lucky I'm in a good mood
"No, I'm lucky to have met you"
"Aww shucks you're making me blush. Not."
I felt someone tap my shoulder and I felt an outstretched hand. Someone was passing me paper. I took the paper unanimously and unfolded the contents inside. It said:
Wtf r u guys doing? Everyone could hear ur convo. Look around all the girls are giving u these glares. And also giving directions to the new kid huh? To where? Ur heart? Ha! Jk. But tread lightly, Blue. Peace.

I looked over behind me and spotted Wolf. He nods at me knowingly. And then I look around the room. Oh. My. God. Every damn girl in the room is giving me a really nasty look like I just spoiled their dinner or something. I'm screwed. Helena Fletcher I noticed is holding a broken pencil in the palms of her hand. Levi noticed my panic.
"What's wrong?"
What the hell should I say? That he turned almost all the girls against me? Maybe I should just say no to his offer. Dial down the rage from the girls.
"Uhhh I'm actually busy today. Sorry I can't show you around school."
"Aww really. Another time maybe?"
"Yeah I can't sorry"
He looked disappointed but nonetheless not unhappy as he were this morning the first time I met him. I scanned the room once again. All the girls seem to not be as vicious. Thank the Lord.

The class went by quick and Ms. Carrolajoyce dismissed us. I busied myself and waited for everyone to leave. I noticed Levi was crowded with girls all talking to him at the same time. He pulled away from them and ran over to me.
"Help me!", he said
"Ummm alright"
He found my hand and gripped it tightly with his own. His hands were warm and delicate and soft. He pulled me outside and we ran through the hallway. We didn't care what people thought of us right there and then because each time we took a a further step it was like bliss and I loved it. I felt alive. No. We felt alive.
