It shook him.
SOMETHING shook him.
His body moved, but his mind was blank. Voices were muffled and distorted. Maybe he died... he finally died. He could see Uncle Ben again... and Johnny and Bobby. He could apologize to the ones he couldn't save... or maybe he'll be stuck with nothingness for the rest of his non-life. That wouldn't last long though as the shaking got more frequent, and his eyelids finally opened.
"Can you hear me, Parker?"
Peter's eyes couldn't focus. The voice seemed less distorted but was far away. Something was moving, maybe it was a person, or maybe it was a stray cat. Then he remembered cats can't talk.
The voice started to get a bit clearer.
"Hold on! I'll get help--"
"NO!"
Peter shot up from the ground and nearly scared the life out of whoever was trying to help him. The person shrieked a bit before Peter had the sense of calming her down. He put his finger on his lips, which the person finally caught on to.
"Kendo...?"
The girl finally calmed and gave a small breath of relief. "It's about time. Were you trying to pull a prank on me?"
"H—Huh? Oh, no it was--"
Footsteps quickly came into earshot.
"Quick, hide me!" Peter whispered hastily.
"Why?" Kendo asked, confused.
Peter pleaded, "Please, just trust me."
Kendo gave an uneasy glance but decided to comply. She helps slip Peter under some bags of trash, just in time as police came around the corner.
"Ma'am, are you okay?" An officer said as he walked towards Kendo.
"Uh, yeah, just saw a... huge spider. I have arachnophobia so..."
The police took one more glance around the alleyway. "Why are you here in the alleyway?"
"I'm... trying to find my cousin's costume that he lost," Kendo stated sheepishly as she tried not to focus on the hidden spot Peter was at the moment.
The officer seemed a bit suspicious, but also tired. "Well, alright, stay safe, ma'am," he said with a yawn and rubbed his eyelids. The officer saluted as he walked away from the alleyway. Kendo gave a wave and checked for anyone around. As soon as not many people were around, she went back to check on Peter, who was already kicking off the trash bags.
"Look, you'll have to trust me," Peter coughed, ignoring the smell.
"Trust you? Why should I? Aren't you supposed to be at U.A?" Kendo asked in a hoarse whisper.
"I know, I know, you have a lot of questions, but I promise to answer them... please, I need help," Peter said, trying to walk.
He stumbled and Kendo caught him. "I just need a workshop or lab, I won't be too much trouble," He promised. Kendo seemed a bit unconvinced, but she didn't just want to leave someone from her school by themselves, even if they were acting strange, "Alright, but you better not be up to something." She slung Peter's arm over her shoulder and helped him walk.
"Wait... just gimmie a minute," Peter said as he removed his arm and went back into the alley. After scouring through the trash bags, he found his mask. He tucked it into his costume and rolled up his costume's bottom half, making it look like he has tight green pants.
"Do you have anything that can... cover my costume up?" Peter asked shyly, expecting a 'No' for her answer. The teal-eyed girl took off her black jacket. Peter only realized now the attire she had on. She wore a teal dress but had a belt around her waist and a black motorcycle jacket. Her shoes seemed to be bulky and had a matching black colour to her jacket.
