Chapter 20

**Pete's pov**

My legs were tired from standing all day. My mouth was tired from smiling all day to take picture with guests whom I didn't even knew. They were probably Vegas's business partners.

But thankfully the event ended without a hiccup except that Macau was now facing my Lover's wrath. I tried to negotiate with him but it didn't matter. He always does what he wants and never listens to other people.

Removing the clothes, I took a hot shower and changed into my pajamas for the night. Vegas wasn't here so I tried to call out his name a few times but he came back few minutes later only. NEVER LISTENS!

As soon as he came back, he went on to take a shower and changed into his night time clothes. Just as we were about to sleep, Vegas started to make a face which displays his frowness.

"What happened? Why are you frowning so much?"

"Nothing happened my love. Just a business deal."

"Okay, don't stress too much. Now let's sleep!"

After a heavy day, both of us fell asleep as soon as we hit the bed. One hand of his was wrapped around my body so he could cuddle me while being asleep.

My eyes opened, darkness surrounded me like an ocean, never ending and so deep. I check my surroundings quickly to notice that I'm not kidnapped and in my room.

I've been having these crazy nightmares where someone in black car kidnaps me and I lost my baby. I never told my recent nightmares to Vegas to protect him from more stress.

He was already having enough stress from the work itself, and one of the deal with Russian Mafia was failing through. They didn't even came to our baby shower, Vegas suspected that they want their terms to be accepted.

I know how hard it is to convince Russian Mafia and deals were pretty hard to go through. When I left the major clan I thought I would never have to deal with mafia anymore but Vegas's illegal business was to deal fire arms to mafia.

I rise up from the bed to make my way downstairs to kitchen. These days I wake up in the middle of the night to eat my cravings.

But today, there wasn't any water in our room so I had to came downstairs to drink water. As I fill up my glass of water, rumbling noise of car starting comes from outside.

After drinking the much needed water, I go to the living room so as to take a peek from the window. Slowly but surely, I moved the curtains in a way so no one would notice. What? There could be a burglar outside and I'm 6 months pregnant.

As I peeked out, a black car was standing right outside our gate but in a matter of 2 seconds it disappeared. Like it took off. 0 km/h to 100 km/h in 2 seconds.

Is that even possible?

I'll ask Vegas about this in the morning. After eating a few leftovers from the baby shower I make my way upstairs to our room and sleep in the arms of my lover.

"Is that possible Vegas? Just answer the fucking question!" Oh no my hormones are all over the place.

"Babe that's not possible and there was no car in front of the gate last night! You have to calm down and rest."

We checked the cameras but there was no car last night. But I was very sure of what I saw. How could there be no car? Did someone tampered out the camera tapes?

"The doctor told that you should rest this week because you had a lot of pressure due to the baby shower. Everything will be within a call to the bodyguards. So rest well." With that being said, Vegas left after kissing me and our baby.
