POV - Athena.

"Sebastian, stop, I'm going to the ball."
I snapped, as the Phantomhive head, I could not possibly afford to attend. People from all over the world would be there. It would most defiantly help the toy business.

"Edmond and Claude will be there." Sebastian mumbled. "I cannot trust they will not attempt anything."

"Then you will protect me." I smiled, that's what he always did. He always made sure I was safe no matter the amount of danger. I don't understand why he was worried now.

"Now come on, we are already running late. Please help me get into this dress."
I was almost ready, my hair and make have both been done, there was no way all that work would be for nothing.

His expression worried me to be quite honest. His eyes were distant and full of worry. Then again, I sensed there was something he was not sharing with me...

He was keeping secrets... Again.

I frowned and looked away. What is he up to ?

"As you wish...my lady..."

POV - Sebastian

I began to help Athena into her dress. It was one of her favorites. It was a golden yellow with black laces, long sleeves, very beautiful. She rarely wore it, so I knew she was truly looking forward to the ball. It's been a few months since she last attended one.

Her hair was in a messy "bun" as she calls it. That was how she normally like it for some odd reason. Her make up, something she rarely did was also done. The shadow on her eyes was a golden yellow, it made her blue and purple eye stand out very much.

"Why is it you truly don't wish me to go Sebastian?" She asked me curiously, not bothering to look at me as she asked.

What am I supposed to answer? That it was the new maid that worried me? Surely she would remember her. If Hannah says anything to Athena, everything could fall apart.

" I am simply looking out for your safety." I mumbled, not knowing what else to tell her.

I could hear her heart start racing as I said that, and my eyes narrowed. Foolish girl, to she truly is falling for me. Not the best idea.

"You do...?"

"Yes. I made a contract with you, I shall keep my end of the deal."

Athena sighed and walked away a soon as I finished tying the back of her dress. "Let's go." She mumbled angrily.

"Athena, you're forgetting your mask, it is masquerade ball after all."

She turned to face me and rolled his eyes, taking it from my hand. "You'll wear one too right?" She asked, while placing hers on.

"You will not wear your eye patch?" I asked, ignoring her question.

"No."

"Athena..."

"I said no! I'm tired of hiding it. I could care less what people think. I am not the only one with different colored eyes! Some people have brown and blue, or green! So purple can be one too. These people aren't that intellectual anyway." She snapped,

I sighed and shook my head. Knowing it would be no use. I would simply have to protect her my way.

"As you wish..."
