Months went by without a single mission. People started to get restless.
"We haven't had a battle for months! It's not like Blu team just gave up suddenly." Scout exclaimed putting his hands over his head while leaning against a chair in the cafeteria.
"Shut up. I, for one, am happy that we're not battling." I replied sitting on a table. Scout stuck his tongue at me which I returned back.
"Maggots! Get down and give me 50!" Soldier yelled at us. We sighed and did what we were told. Soldier has been doing this more often. Either he wants us to stay in shape or he's just bored. Probably both. When we were done, Soldier made us do 5 laps around the base. In a middle of a thunderstorm. On the third lap, I noticed something off in the distance.
"Toots! Hurry up!" Scout called out to me through the pouring rain.
"Hey, Scout! What's that thing in the distance?" I called back to him. Scout walked over to me and saw nothing.
"What thing? I don't see anything but clouds and the dirt. Ya have to be hallucinating or somethin'." Scout told me.
"Dude, I SAW something in the distance. I just don't know where it-" I replied frowning before getting cut off by a swift punch to the gut sending me into the building.
"Ah, crap!" Scout exclaimed before taking off probably to tell everybody else(I know him well enough that he's not a coward, at least not around spiders). A metallic hand grabbed my throat and lifted me up. Air supply was cut by half, my heart quicken even though that's the last thing I want to happen. The hand then threw me to the ground sending dirt and dust everywhere. I wiped blood off my mouth as I got up and took a good look at what attacked me. It looked like Blu Scout but robotic. You could see the joints and its legs were made of metal that looks very thin but I could tell that they were strong, Titanium perhaps. The detail was almost spot on. It had blue glowing eyes, black metal that resembles a hat, the headphone with a mic with one of the earmuff things missing, dog tags and a black metal duffel bag. I looked around for a weapon of some sort but I got punched in the face sending me back. I landed on my back and quickly got back up. But every time I got up, the robotic Scout punched me in the gut. After a while, I started to cough up blood. I stayed on the ground staring at the clouds that kept pouring the rain on me.
"Is this what death feels like? It feels so...comforting. Not having to worry about food, water, or anything." I thought as the robot Scout walked its way to me.
"Oh, what? Are ya gonna cry? Ya gonna cry now?" It asked in a robotic Boston accent which really bothered me.
"Baka." I muttered as I closed my eyes. I could hear the Robot Scout bend over making weird metallic sounds as it did.
"3...2...1!" I thought as I opened my eyes and punched the Robot Scout in the face. It's head jerked back giving me enough time to get up. My knuckles were stained with red, pain swelling around it and my wrist. The robot looked at me with more violence than before.
"Shit." I thought as my whole hand turning red, possibly broken. I started to run, towards the base which is behind the robot. Punched me in the gut again but I was able to stand as I got punched and ran towards the base holding my stomach. The distance between me and the robot Scout was decreasing. I tripped and fell on my face. The Robot Scout took my ankle and lifted me up. There I hung in the air, one of my ankles being held by its robotic hand and my dark brown hair and fingers skirting the ground with one of my hands possibly being broken. I tried to use my other foot to kick the robot but he blocked it. The robot started shaking me. Blood rushed to my head even quicker than before. I looked around to find something that I can use. I found a 2 inch by 8 foot by 1 inch board but it was just out reach. I struggled to grab it but my arms were just too short. So I started to kicked the robot again and again until it threw me against the building. Just what I wanted. I got back on my feet and grabbed the board with my good hand, ready to use it. The robot tried to punch me but I whacked it in the head with the board causing the board to break. Now with shorter board I lost control, punched the robot into the ground and whacked it with the board until just splinters are left. After the board became splinters, I processed to punch it in the face, ignoring the pain. When I was done, I pulled the head off hoping that the source of power came from there. I threw the head away with possible 2 broken hands, and walked into the base, ready to see Medic to heal my hands. The place was deserted. I wandered around the halls, hoping to see anyone, even Soldier, around the corner.
"Hello?" I called out. "Is anyone here?"
"H-here..." a faint voice replied. I rushed to the voice and saw Engie, all beaten up and bleeding on the floor.
"Are you ok?!" I exclaimed getting on his level.
"Y-yeah. I-I'm fine." Engie stuttered trying to get up.
"What happened?! Where's everybody else?!" I asked helping him stand up.
"Scout ran in all scared like he's seen a ghost. He told us what happened before 2 robots came that looked like Heavy and Medic. They then beat everyone up and the next thing I knew, I was on the floor with you calling out if anyone is there." Engie replied.
"Shit!" I muttered under my breath. There's more here.
"We should go to a dispenser. I think my hands are broken. Both of them." I suggested. Engie nodded and we headed to the Workshop for dispensers.
