Liesel died. Not by force, but natural causes. Her older daughter, Rosa, was with her. Rosa's children were out in the living room. Liesel looked up at her daughter and said, "I'm excited to see them."

Rosa knew who she was speaking of. Her grandparents, her mother's mother, Liesel's brother, her father, the Jewish fist fighter, the Bügermeisters, and the boy with hair the color of lemons.

Liesel's soul reminded me of Herr Huberman's. It was light, and welcomed me as if I were an old friend. Her last thought was, "Rudy,"

I handed her a red covered book, she looked through it and smiled.

"You're had this?" I nodded. She began reading the letters on the now yellow pages. She laughed and smiled as the memories flooded her mind.

"There's someone who had been waiting for you," I said. She looked up and stared at the boy with hair the color of lemons. She was surprised that he had changed as well. He looked as though he was in his twenties. He looked strong yet vulnerable. He ran to the book thief. Liesel ran to him, as he soul changed from the old woman she was to the young one she would spend her after life looking like.

When they collided, Rudy expected a hug. Liesel gave him the kiss he never got. Rudy was surprised but gave in. They both smiled. Rudy wrapped his arms around the book thief. Liesel rested her hands on Jesse Owen's shoulders. They kissed longer than needed, but they didn't have a single care in their heads.

When they pulled away, the smile on Rudy faded. So did Liesel's. She was married. To a man who looked liked him. It broke his "heart" every time he thought about it.

"I never loved him," Liesel said, "he never gave me the same feeling you did." He kissed her.

"Sorry I took so long."

"Don't worry about it," he smiled, "Now book thief, tell about this thing called the internet."
