It was a very beautiful day outside, and Naruto knew this well. He was relaxing on the roof of his new home, which he found in the Namikaze compound, and daydreaming about the date he and his wife, Hinata, had gone on the other day.
Then he decided to dig even further into his memories, remembering the good times he had all those years ago. That time when he created almost 1,000 clones in order to stop Mizuki from betraying the village. Or when he awakened the chakra of the Kyuubi in order to defend Sasuke from Haku. And that time when he made the Rasenshuriken, and used it against countless enemies such as Kakuzu, The second Raikage, the ten-tails, and many more.
Eventually he came upon the point where his life changed. Unknowingly, he had gained the Rinnegan. His dormant blood, which came from the Senju, Uzumaki, Namikaze, Uchiha, and the Ashura line, had awakened. The reason for this was, Hinata had gotten a bad snakebite, and would be dead in a few days if he left the venom in her body. Naruto, who had been studying medical preparations from his adopted grandmother Tsunade, immediately started sucking out the venom and spitting it away. However, Hinata's blood was something else he ingested. The only DNA he was missing for the full power of the sage of six paths was the Hyuuga, and he had just obtained it.
That night, Naruto had terrible nightmares and excruciating pain in his head. The Kyuubi no kitsune awoke to this, and immediately realized what was happening. It did its best to redirect the chakra flow into only one of the eyes, while infusing the other eye with its own power. Naruto now had a fully powered Rinnegan in his left eye, and a new kind of Dojutsu in his right. He only recently named it, dubbing it the "Raging Flame and Soothing Tide, aptly named the Jokigan. (Reference image, the orange is larger in anger and the blue is larger in calm, constant swirling around when active. It's level 3, like the 3-tomoe sharingan.)

This eye had the spirit of someone from the old world, a guy named "Kirito" or something, and gave the bearer able to see any layer of existence. It also gave incredible reaction time at the expense of full Jonin level chakra for every minute it was active.
He then moved onto the memory of taking down the akatsuki, and destroying the ten tails by splitting it into the other 7 tailed beasts. All of them decided to take him as their vessel, so that no child would have to go through being a Jinchuuriki ever again, as an adult cannot have a bijuu sealed into them. They helped Naruto find the Hachibi, which was freed because of the death of Kirabi. There were a lot of people there for his funeral, and Naruto was quite sad to have to send his friend off, but he went in peace knowing that his death caused the obtainment of the Six Paths chakra in Naruto. After that, the memories of what happened after Kaguya was slain appeared. Naruto had been able to use many bloodlines, as well as the new Fox sage mode he had developed with the Kyuubi's help. He finally learned hand seals, and began using a larger arsenal of Jutsu.
Eventually, he landed on almost a year ago, when he married Hinata Hyuuga, who he had been in love with and dating for many years. Sakura and Sasuke were still nowhere to be found, ever since they ran off after the Chunin exams, so he had Iruka be his best man. Obviously Hanabi was Hinata's bridesmaid as well. They went through it without a hitch and the 8th Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village now had a wife.
Ever since then, life has been peaceful, only picking up when Naruto left the village to go meet with the other Kages. He was just finished daydreaming when he smelled the sweet scent of Lavender, as he saw Hinata getting off the ladder to the roof to come lay next to him. He turned to his side, embracing Hinata in a warm hug as they snuggled for a little while. When they were done, Hinata spoke up.
"I came up here to let you know that dinner's done, dear." she stated, with no trace of the nervousness she used to have, as she was running her fingers along one of Naruto's whiskers, making him shiver in pleasure.
"Alright." He responded in an uncharacteristic gruff and deep voice that many women have fallen for, only to feel Hinata's wrath as a Yandere. He stood up and stretched, his perfectly defined muscles showing through his shirt as Hinata licked her lips, imagining the fun they would have as it was their anniversary.

A while later, when they had finished their dinner and had a meeting with the rest of the remaining Konoha 12 (9 of them since Neji is dead and Saku/Sasu are missing nin), they began walking toward the Namikaze residence. They stopped abruptly, however, when Hinata noticed a new Ice Cream shop, named Frozen Heaven. Hinata gave Naruto the puppy dog eyes, and they both went inside for a quick bowl.
Afterwards, they continued home, and opened the gate.
