Glory POV:

"Glory! For the last time, we're going to be late!" Jambu yelled down the hall at his sister

"Ya, whatever" she mumbled out of bed and into the bathroom to get ready for school.

-

Glory turned once more in the mirror to make sure she looked good for her first day of being a sophomore. Her light pastel hair of greens, blues, and purples went down to the sleeves of a mossy gray-green crop top with high waisted jean shorts with a gold teardrop necklace with matching gold earrings.

"Hey!" Glory turned around to find her friend Sunny at her bedroom doorway. Her petite friend was wearing a knee length penny colored dress with caramel brown embroidery at the sleeves and ends with a necklace that matched her own gold teardrop that they had gotten together during summer.

"Hey you," Glory said in response and they hugged. Glory always wondered why Sunny's tan skin was so much warmer that her pale skin.

"You ready?" Sunny asked and Glory looked at her clock.

"It's only 7:45, school doesn't start till 8:45?"

"Ya," Sunny gave Glory that all knowing look, "Buy were all heading over to my moms cafe first, did you not remember that?!"

"Uhh...! No I didn't, oops!"

"Oh Glory. Come on, you're driving."

-

On the way to Sunny's mom's cafe, Outclaw Oasis Cafe, Glory got punched three times on the arm because Sunny spotted a Volkswagen Beetle, or, what she calls it, a Punch Buggy. As Glory parked Sunny ran out to greet their friends at the table. The Outclaw Oasis Cafe had a large fountain in the center of a patio of grass with large stepping stones leading inside of the coffee-smelling cafe. Under the canopy Glory saw four other groups but the loudest was hers. She spotted Sunny hugging Clay who had a very surprised face on with Peril sitting next to him, Starflight reading a book with Fatespeaker tapping his shoulder over and over after reading one sentence, and she didn't spot Tsunami so she guessed she was late, as always.

"BOO!" Glory jumped, panicked and surprised. "Haha! Got you! You jumped like three feet!" Glory turned around to see Tsunami in a ball of laughter.

"Oh come on" Glory rolled her green eyes at her friend and punched her shoulder.

"Oww," Tsunami exaggerated and punched Glory's arm rolling her pale emerald green eyes right back at her while walking over to the table to sit down, Glory hot on her tail.

"Hi guys!" Glory slid into the chair Tsunami pulled out for herself next to Sunny. Her friend gave her a dagger glare that could cut metal as she flipped her wavy chocolate brown hair and grabbed a chair near Fatespeaker.

"Have you ordered yet?! I'm starving!" Tsunami admitted.

"I'm with you, I could eat a horse!" Clay agreed.

"That's what you always say," Starflight said, still with his nose in his book, so you could only see his jet black hair.

"Clay," Peril added, "you were just over at my house and ate three of my moms jumbo muffins! Wasn't that enough?!"

"No!" His warm brown eyes glistened at Peril who blushed, "plus, they were burnt" Peril opened her mouth to say something at the same time that their waiter came.

"Hey you guys! I see the whole group is already here," Sixclaws, one of the waiters at the cafe who knew them very well said.

"Yup! We all are here!" Sunny responded

"Ok," he went on, "are you guys ready to order?"

"Oh yes!" Clay and Tsunami said in unison.

"Ok, what would you like to get Clay?"

"I would like," he said looking down at the menu, "a bagel with cream cheese, a chocolate muffin, and coffee with cream and one sugar."

"Clay, you already ate-" Peril started but was cut off by Tsunami

"I will get a large strawberry refresher with no ice and a jumbo blueberry muffin."

"Ok," Sixclaws said while writing it all down, "Glory?"

"Oh, I'll get a...tall frappuccino and a small slice of banana nut bread, please."

"Sunny?"

"I'll get a pumpkin spice latte,"

"What size?"

"A tall please, and...that's it!"

"Great! Starflight?"

"What, huh?" he looked around at everyone staring at him, "oh, uh," he scrambled to get his book mark and the menu.

"You can come to him later," Fatespeaker said for her friend, "but I'll get a butter croissant and a salted caramel mocha frappuccino, umm, grande please" she said, finished.

"Perfect, Peril?"

"Oh no, I already ate."

"That's fine, Starflight back to you,"

"Oh, umm, a mini caramel frappuccino, please."

"All for to-go?" Sixclaws said looking up.

"Yes," Tsunami responded.

"Ok, and all separate?"

"Yes" Tsunami responded again.

"Tsunami, you don't always need to be the one to respond, you know that right?"

"Glory, that's like my mouth's whole purpose, also to burn people."

"Whatever" and she tossed her dyed hair over her shoulder.
