Kapoks POV:

"Kudzu? Can you help me get a good historical book that I could use for a report?" Kapok poked her head into her older sister's bedroom.

"Sure" she said, putting down the book she was reading. Kudzu had short hair that went a bit below her shoulders and was a bit lighter brown than Kapok's hair and she was still in her pj's.

"Kud? It's the middle of the day, what are you still doing in your pjs?"

"I don't know, Pok" she said in her black short sleeve shirt and red and black plaid pants.

"I told you to never call me that name"

"Well then vice versa" Kudzu had a snarky face on as she got up and they walked out of her room to the living room. There was a white couch along the wall and a few white lamps illuminating the room, but it was mostly lit by gold lanterns that were hung throughout the spiraling staircase above them. Their living room ceiling went up four floors, two more stories then the actual house. Kapok was never quite sure how her parents got the rights to do it, some thing about the amount of land they had around it. On the walls of the library, there were books everywhere, all stacked up, perfectly parallel to each other. Kudzu always finishes her homework at school so she has all the time in the world to read books left and right. And that's why Kapok needed her help, Kudzu had memorized every single section of where a genre of books should be.

"Hey, uh, Kudzu?"

"Yes" she looked mesmerized by all the books.

"What floor is history on?" She looked at the occasional flight of stairs, spiraling all the way up.

"Third," Kapok groaned, " but don't worry, I have books to bring there, so while you look for a book, I'll be putting books away" she smiled.

"Um, no. You're said you would help me."

"Ya, third floor"

"You know what, never mind. I'll just get Anne Frank's diary." Kudzu shrugged and Kapok rolled her eyes.

~Thursday~

"Hey!" Sand-Dollar said to her BFF when she rang Kapoks doorbell, "I love you house." Kapoks short friend was wearing a kneeling sun orange dress that made her blue eyes pop. The dress was simple and plain with the thin, one inch straps over her shoulders, she was also wearing small sand-dollar earrings, white converse, and for her final touch, she had some of her dirty blonde hair, pulled back, making her look like an elf from the Hobbit.

"Hey." Kapok said in the middle of the yawn.

"Girl! You're still in your pjs!"

"It's 5:00 in the morning Sand-Dollar, my alarm goes off in 15 minutes. Wait...how did you get on the property, did Kudzu give you the code for the gate?"

"No....I hopped it!"

Kapok sighed, "Get in here, it's cold outside."

"Ok, so, overall, for the past half hour you've been trying to tell me that you don't know who to choose, Cerise of Anvil?!?" Kapok said eating her cereal.

"Yes!" Sand-Dollar groaned.

"Oh my. You really should just focus on school instead."

"Easy for you to say, I'm out there wanting a boyfriend while you and your boyfriend are on the same page!" Kapok spat out her cereal.

"Ow! It came out my nose!"

"Hahaha!" Sand-Dollar laughed hysterically at her friend.

"Ok, for one he's NOT my boyfriend, two we DON'T have crushes on each other, and three, we're just really good friends!"

"Hmmm...ya...MARESTAIL AND KAPOK SITTING IN A TREE, K-I-S-S-I-N-G! FIRST COMES THE LOVE! THEN COMEE THE-"

"Sand-Dollar!" Kapok pinched her.

"Ow! What was that for?!"

"Everyone's still sleeping!" Sand-Dollar looked confused, "We're in my house, my family's still sleeping."

"Whatever, you done?" She asked Kapok and pointed at the cereal bowl.

"Ya, but why are we in a rush? School doesn't start for three hours."

"Perfect! We still have time to wake up Marestail and Cerise!"

"You really should focus on school."
