"She lives!" Binna raised her hands in celebration and danced around my living room when she saw Hana emerge from her bedroom.
"Shhhh," Hana gingerly rubbed at her temple, "why do you have to be so loud so early?"
"Early?", Binna scoffed, "It's 2 o'clock in the afternoon!"
"She brought coffee and those hangover drinks that you like from the convenience store," I offered as a peace offering on Binna's behalf, my own cup of coffee was held between my hands, while I lounged in our overstuffed chair.
Begrudgingly she shuffled over to join us, holding out her hand expectantly. Binna obligingly passed the extra cup of coffee to my best friend and roommate. She was repaid by Hana reclining across her and the rest of the couch.
Binna and I sat in an entertained silence while we observed the many stages of hung-over Hana. We knew better than to agitate her further by making more noise than she was ready for, but she did make it difficult not to laugh at times. Finally, Hana felt that she had enough caffeine in her to try conversing with us.
"What time did I get home last night?" she asked.
"I think I heard you stumble in around 4," I provided with a knowing grin.
"Okay," she nodded and paused for a moment, looking down the hall towards her room. I knew exactly what she was wondering.
"He left around 8," I answered her unasked question, "Jay said thanks by the way," innocently I took a sip of my coffee, enjoying the look playing across Binna's face with the new information.
"You brought him back here?!" Binna was so over the top, "You jezebel!" she began to tickle the poor girl draped across her, spilling coffee on them both.
"I don't even know what that means," Hana squirmed her way away from the assault trying to wipe herself off, "but why are we talking about me? Talk to her!" she pointed over at me before wrapping herself up in a blanket cocoon of protection.
"Leave me out of this!" I laughed, getting up to fetch a towel for them to clean up their mess, "You're the one who's out!"
"We'll get to her but you're first," Binna agreed, "I think we were all shocked by you losing so early. Even Daeun and Duri are still in the running," she accepted the towel that I offered and began blotting at her pants.
"Did you see him?" Hana defended, "I'm the real winner here," she adjusted herself to lean against the chair that I had been sitting in.
"Are you going to see him again?" Binna tossed the towel aside, giving up on saving her clothes.
Even I was curious to the answer. Hana was renowned for her noncommittal ways. But she was also a sucker for a pretty face. She sat in her new space on the floor, still wrapped up like a burrito, tilting her head while she considered. Finally settling, she revealed her thoughts, "No, I don't think so. He was fun but too..." she trailed off trying to think of the word.
"Too what? Hot? Sexy?" Binna pressed.
"He was just too everything," she shrugged, "He's a Mr. Right Now, not Mr. Right," she closed her eyes and let her head fall back.
"Aren't you a Ms. Right Now?" I voiced.
Hana's head shot up, wincing at the sudden movement, "I am a Ms. Do-whomever-whenever-she-likes, thank you very much!"
Binna made a face at Hana, making fun of the cringe that she wore from being too loud before she twisted around to me "But that's enough about this one," she dismissed Hana with a wave of her hand, "I want to hear about you and your cutie,"
