The rhythm of the music and the flashing lights welcomed us as we made our way into the club. People were scattered everywhere, going different directions with different goals in mind.

I took a moment, surveying the space before us. It was a good night to be out. The dance floor was full of people moving, some just because they wanted to dance and others because they were trying to gain the attention of someone around them. Of course, there were the usual creeps, stood on the sidelines waiting for the moment where they would make their move on whomever had caught their attention.

My attention was brought back to my group when Duri gave me a slight nudge, suggesting that our group was about to relocate somewhere more comfortable.

"I reserved a VIP booth for us! This way," Binna navigated our way through the crowd, towards a slightly elevated area that offered some separation from the crush.

She spoke with the security and soon enough we found ourselves at our table, bottles of alcohol and everything else we wanted ready for our enjoyment. Everyone began settling in, pouring themselves something to drink and swaying to the music.

I could already tell that I wouldn't be spending much time up here. If I was subjecting myself to a month of no intimacy with a guy, then I was at least going to have a good time while I did it.

"I'm going to go dance," I leaned in so Hana could hear me above the volume of our surroundings.

She turned to me with a sly grin on her face, clueing me into the mischievous mood that she was in, "Are you sure you can handle it out there?" She gestured to the dance floor with a nod of her head. I met with her with a curious kink of my eyebrow causing her to erupt into a laugh, "This is why!"

I was genuinely confused about what she was referring to. Her comment was coming out of nowhere, "Why what?" I clarified.

"Why you're the one that's always getting hit on, you're not afraid to separate from the group so it's easier to approach you! That's why guys love you," she was dancing around me with her drink in hand, "Plus you're hot!" she took advantage of her being behind me for a moment to give my backside a quick slap.

"I'm gonna go now," I rolled my eyes trying to hide my mild embarrassment. I could hear her chuckling to herself, no doubt proud of the fact that she had managed to make me blush.

Hana wasn't the only one beginning to enjoy herself. Our friends were all stirring and enjoying the atmosphere of the club. It was gaining attention from the other patrons around us too. There was a group of guys around our age glancing our direction. It was obvious from the looks they were exchanging and the way they were leaning in to speak to each other that I wasn't going to be the first one to be approached this evening. Poor boys, they didn't know that they were potentially getting in to.

Once I made it onto the floor, I stopped paying attention to my friends and allowed myself to be carried away in the moment. This was what I was looking for, I could turn around in any direction and find someone to dance with, even for the briefest moment. It was all about having a good time.

When I did finally glance over to my friends, just to make sure that I hadn't been abandoned or forgotten about, my prediction from earlier was confirmed. The group of boys that had been scoping us out were now sprawled out in our reserved space. Mingling and mixing with my friends.

Except for one, it took me a moment to realize that his gaze was fixed on me. Surprisingly, when my eyeline met his he didn't look away. Instead, he raised his glass to me in acknowledgement and smiled. He was beyond attractive. He was tall and had ashy blonde hair that fell perfectly around his face, it looked like it was begging to have someone's fingers play with it. Based on how cool and casual he was while he stood there watching me, it was safe to assume that he was aware of his allure. He was the kind of boy that was dangerous for a girl like me, taking part in a challenge like March Madness.
