Song: Yeh I Fuckin' Did It by Labrinth
🔪
My nose stopped bleeding when we returned to our apartment building. I put the bloody tissues in my pocket to throw away in the trash later. We were the last ones out of the group to enter the building and I was about to go into my apartment, but noticed Sam was sitting down on the stairwell.
So, I walked over to her to check if she was okay. She still looked upset about the fight her and Tara had.
"Are you okay, Sam?" I asked her softly.
"Yeah, yeah...I'm fine." She assured me, but I didn't quite believe her. We both had a rough night, so I figured it's best not to push it.
"Uh...okay," I sighed. "Just don't beat yourself up over Tara, okay? You saved your sister. You did the right thing."
Sam nodded and I went to my apartment. I got my keys out to unlock the door and went inside. I got myself cleaned up and fixed my messy shirt. It was a mess because of soda and blood. I managed to get the soda out. Good thing we had hydrogen peroxide, so I could remove the blood. After cleaning that shirt, I put on a new one.
Then my phone vibrated and I pulled out my phone from my pocket.
Mindy: Dude, you gotta get up here and check out the news!
I was curious about what they were watching on TV, so I decided to check it out with them.
Me: I'll be up.
I walked out of my apartment and was about to go upstairs until I saw Sam and Danny together talking.
"Oh, hey..." I greeted them awkwardly. I felt like I wanted in on them or something.
"Hey, what're you doing?" Sam asked me.
"Got a text from Mindy. Something is on the news that we should see." That got their interest.
"Sam, Josh!" Chad called for us from upstairs. Our heads looked up at him. "You guys gotta get up here right now!"
The three of us went upstairs to Sam and Tara's apartment.
"What's going on?" Sam asked as we walked in. Chad pointed his finger at the TV as a response.
Everybody was intently watching the news.
"Cute boy, nice." Quinn complimented, pointing at Danny.
"Oh, thank you." I smirked, joking at her.
"Not you," She rolled her eyes. "But you're not that bad looking."
We were listening to the make news reporter. "I'm standing in front of the apartment building where the mutilated body of one Blackmore University student was discovered. His name had just been released by the police. His name is Greg Bruckner. His roommate, another Blackmore University student, was also found mutilated in an alleyway. His name is Jason Carvey."
Oh, fuck, the police found the guy's body I killed. Apparently, his name was Jason Carvey. And I fucking stabbed him to death. Sure, he deserved it for killing Laura, my ex-girlfriend. But I hated the feeling of the guilt and shame that was eating me alive. And I just had to suffer in silence about it. I couldn't tell anyone that I killed him in fear of judgment and possible backlash.
Maybe my friends would see me differently.
"Holy shit, that's that chode from our Film Studies class," Mindy pointed out. "The one obsessed with Argento."
"Another multilated body was found with Jason Carvey as well and she was a Film Studies professor at Blackmore University. Her name was Laura Crane," The others was just shocked and in disbelief that another one from their university had died. "The police also found at the scenes was various Ghostface costumes. Character popularized by the Stab movie franchise. Now, of course, this hasn't been the first time where Ghostface..."
