[2] Suprise in the morning

Onceler Pov:

I was pretty tired, because I was talking to y/n the rest of the day till I was finished with my thneed. She still wasn't in love with it, but I'll show her! Now I just need some sleep.

But what I didn't thought would happen was me waking up beside her?! I let out a scream and she doesn't even seem to be bothered by it too much. She slowly opened her eyes.

"What are you screaming for?" A serious question? Does she think she can just go into my house and sleep in my bed?

"Well, why are you here!?" I looked at out and groaned "Why are all of them here? In my house!"

She started to look sightly away in emberessment. The Lorax stood up and strechted a bit "You see, y/n talked with me about your stay and I was willing to let you live here if you keep your promise."

My eyes were still on y/n just because I wanna know how this lead to get all of them sleeping at my house. "And then I wanted to tell you, but you were asleep already. Then we saw how cosy it is here and we just thought you wouldn't mind.."

Puppy eyes where now staring at me with the plan to make me less angry. Lucky for her that it kinda worked. Sighting I stood up and tried to ignore that there were creatures everywhere using all my stuff.

"I'm going to the town, showing my wonderful Thneed" The Lorax and y/n looked at each other, giggling. "Yes, yes you do. I know they gonna love it" she said.

I knew exactly that she meant it sarcastic, but it still was better that being told diffrent things.

Now I just need to dress myself up, I wondered why the Lorax put his fingers befor y/n eyes when I did it, and get my Thneed. Ready to go I went to the next town.

Y/n Pov:

We all watched him going out. I was really happy things would go that smoothly. I mean, after so long there was a human here. Not many even go near the forest and even if they would they would never stay.

I was hungry and looked out for the refrigerator, but when I opend it there was nothing left anymore. Just butter. Ugghh, even though I wanted to eat human food again.

From the reaction the Onceler had we were kinda sorry, actually only I was sorry. So because I had nothing better to do I was kind enough to take care of the mess my friends made.

Also I teached them what everything is and is used for. Even though I wasn't living among humans anymore doesn't mean I forgot everything I thought.

After a while the Lorax stood behind me "So there you are. You put quite the effort into this, y/n"

I looked at him with a guilty smile. "Heh, yeaaah.. I'm just exited, you know? And even though you said he would be bad influence, he seemes to be doing good, right?"

He looked unimpressed "y/n, he was barly two days here. It would be questionable if he already would proof himself to be a bad person. And as a reminder, I didn't say you should stop watching him. Don't let your guard down too fast"

I sighted, because I knew he was right. Knowing he made his point and me understanding it, he left.

It was pretty late when the Onceler came back. He didn't look that happy. I mean, he still had his Thneed with him, so probably nobody bought it. But it couldn't be that bad of a reaction they had, right?

Carefully I walked to him, because I didn't want to risk him being mad about anything. "So... How did it go?"

He looked at me and his smile reappears. "Oh, pretty bad! But I think they just didn't see the potential yet. So I'll try tomorrow!"

I was actually flashed by his positivity and couldn't help but giggle a bit. "You're silly"

"Is this everything you wanna tell me our do you actually have something to tell me" the Onceler was offendet and, gosh, you should see his face. I had to keep myself from laughing at his face again.

"Actually, I do." Proud, I told him what I did today and luckily he was thankful.

"Also, if you want I can pick up some of the material while your gone, so we can make some more Thneeds. I mean, if your that sure that they'll be popular, then it won't hurt, right?"

He nodded, excited that I was actually gonna help him. We talked a bit more about Thneeds, ourselfs and we were lost in our talk.

"Sooo, do you maybe mind if I stay again?" I said out of the blue. He didn't seem to be that happy about what I just said "y/n..."

"Pleaaase, do you know how it is not to sleep on a nice, fluffy bed?? Do you??"

He crossed his arm "We would almost have to cuddle. My bed isn't that big" - "nononono, you won't even know I'm there. Promise" I used my puppy eyes as weapon again.

Finally he gave in "okay, okay, you can. But I only have the slightest uncomfort you have to go"

I nodded "yes, of course!", happy about having a nice bed again.

As the night began to come we went inside "You haven't eaten yet, right? Here, have some fruit. They're really tasty, promise"

A bit unshure the Onceler bit into the fruit I gave him and actually enjoyed it "Thanks, y/n! They are actually really good"

I simply smiled at him. "Good. I'm gonna sleep now in this wonderful bed" I said, while looking across the room to the freshly made bed. It looks so damn fluffy, I can't-

He chuckled and watched me while I made myself comfortable.
