It had been Kevin's idea. To go to camp 98.7, body temperature in Fahrenheit as both Kevin and Felix confirmed, and make sure Uzi was ok while she was trying to find anything that could solve what happened that almost got both of them killed at prom. V however was not so sure about the costumes that N suggested at first until Kevin seemed to be flustered around her so she decided to keep wearing it. Though that didn't stop Kevin from coming out in his own costume making her just as flustered.
When she got to the camp she saw that Uzi had some unwanted guests with her. Though she was excited at the possibility of getting a meal out of this in reality thanks to a dampening routine she still felt full from when she ate earlier.
She didn't know wether to thank or strangle Felix later. Though she did catch Kevin getting a bit nostalgic.
"It's been a while since I camped out... it was an interesting yet enjoyable experience." He said as he noticed V looking at him.
"Maybe you could teach me how you used to do it? So I could see how it could be?" She asked a bit flirty but genuinely curious.
"S-sure but most camps won't run smoothly as planned. So don't expect perfection." He stuttered out before managing to get himself composed again.
"I'll try to keep that in mind." She said following him with a group of teens to see how he used to do things by going into the woods a bit.
He set up the tent and the sleeping gear up before starting to set up the rest of the camp. "Alright so this should cover the essentials." He said as he sparked a fire to life. He noticed how uneasy V looked and gave her a questioning look but she looked away. He frowned a bit as he kept teaching trying to keep an eye on V before N showed up and offering to go to the lake. The teens jumped at the opportunity as V stayed behind to talk.
"You know more than you let on, don't you?" Kevin asked looking at her concerned.
"A little bit yeah. But I don't want to dampen Ns mood." She admitted.
"That's fair, I'm not gonna press you if your no-" he beg and before getting interrupted by v hugging him.
"I'm scared I'm gonna lose you..." she said sounding at her most vulnerable.
"Hey, if anything that's how I'm feeling all the time. Even since the prom." He said hugging her back. She blushed at his words and actions but felt a calming presence and smiled.
"Ok, I'm feeling a bit better now. We should join up with the others." She said looking up at Kevin. He nodded and let her go but held her hand. She looked at him.
"You can tell me anything." He said as she blushed and gently pulled her hand away.
"Thanks. But let's deal with this first. I still need time to think about it." She said rubbing her arm before smiling hopefully at him. He smiled back and let her go.
"I can wait." He whispered to himself.
