C h a p t e r O n e

"I'll see you tomorrow Penelope." I said walking to the door of Java Juice. "Okay girl." My boss Penelope said. I've been working at Java Juice for two years now so I would have money to support my little sister. I am so thankful for my amazing boss Penelope for giving me this job when I was a desperate teenager. Before, my sister and I were living off nothing. I walked to my sky blue 1970 Volkswagen Beetle parked in the normal spot it was in. When I was inside I had to crank the engine three times just to get it to start. Finally it started an I was on my way to Logan's to pick up Emmie. Since my family can't keep Emmie in there sight, I bring her to my friend Logan's when she is not at work or school. because Logan is nineteen years old and has her own apartment, Emmie and I would stay with her when things are not safe at home. Driving down the familiar road that I go down everyday, I see that the traffic is worse than usual. After sitting at one red light for forty minutes, I finally pull up to the familiar apartment complex. "Hey Gus." I say to the landlord. "How was your day Thaila?" He said with a faint smile. "Busy as always." I said pressing the elevator button. "If you want something, you have to work for it. Now go get that kiddo." He said waving just as the doors opened. "I will, thanks Gus." I said giving him a small smile. Waiting about five minutes I then heard the ding of the elevator telling me I can get out now. I walked down the long, narrow hall and reached apartment 217. I knocked three times and Logan answered immediately. She held her finger over her mouth telling me that Emmie is asleep without actually telling me. "She ate a little over an hour ago and has been asleep since." She said in a whisper. "Thank you so much Logan, for everything." I said picking Emmie up from couch. She stirred a little in her sleep but once she realized it was me she went right back to sleep. "No problem sweetheart, you know I'm always here if you need me. I'm just one call and text away. I love watching her and I will help you as much as possible." She said giving me a big smile. "Thank you." I said picking up Emmie's small, pink bag. I put the bag on one shoulder and her on my other arm. "So can you watch her tomorrow?" I said being hopeful. "I have class Ti, but I can see if my mom can watch her." She said. "Uhmm okay. Just text me whenever you find out please." I said. Logan knows that I hate leaving Emmie with my parents because they never take care of her whatsoever. It would be eight o'clock before she had eaten that day. But I'm okay with having Logan's mom watch her because she like the mom I've always wanted. When my mom wasn't there, Logan's was. "I will." She said giving me a hug. "Bye Logan, I love you." I said opening the door. "I love you too. Goodnight Ti." She said smiling at me then closed the door. I walked back to the elevator and down to the main floor. "Bye Gus." I said smiling towards him. "Bye Thaila." He said walking into his apartment. I walked to the parking lot and put Em in her car seat, making sure she's all strapped in. Once I knew she was safe, I got into the driver seat and started the car. I pulled up into Burger King and order my usual: Jr. Whopper with fries and a shake. Once I got my order I drove straight to hell which I have to call my house. When I pulled up to my house I saw that my parents cars weren't there. I sight in relief and turned off the car. I then locked my door, and got Em out of her seat as fast as I could. Then I grabbed her bag with my food and locked her door. When I made it inside of the house, I went straight to our room. I locked our door and laid her down gently on our mattress. In our room we just had a mattress that was on the floor, a sheet with a comforter and two pillows. We have one drawer that we both share and a small TV that sits on the ground. I'm not complaining though because we are lucky enough to have that. But a good thing about our room is that it has a bathroom connected to it so we don't have to leave the room and see them. When I knew she was okay on the bed I went to the bathroom and started the shower. Once the water was warm I striped off my work clothes and jumped in. After the nice shower I sat down on our bed and ate my food. After I was finishing up I heard Em stir. "Ti." A soft voice said. "Yes baby." I said rubbing her soft blond hair. "are wee gunna bee okay?" She said in a soft voice. "Yes baby we are, I'm going to get us through this." I said kissing her forehead. "ok. Wove you." She said going back to sleep. Soon after I was finally finished with my food, I wrapped Em in my arms. Minutes later my breathing slowed, my heart steady and I was out like a light.

Hey guys, so I have decided to make this Liam fanfic because I've never done one with Liam before and I kinda wanted to start off fresh but I will keep writing my Harry ones because why not keep doing something I already started.
