Ready To Run

C h a p t e r T w o

At nine o'clock my alarm went off telling me it's time for us to get up. I turned of the loud, obnoxious alarm and turned to look at Emmie. Sometimes I look at her while she is sleeping and see that she is so at peace. I wish she could be like that when she's awake but unfortunately she's not and that pisses me off. Em deserves so much more in her life and I don't know if I can provide that for her but I will try everything I can for that to happen. "Em, baby it's time to get up." I said kissing her forehead. "Noo." She said turning to face the other way so I can't see her face. "Don't you want to go see Aunt Logan's mommy?" I said laughing at her stubbornness. "Ni-Ni?" She said shooting up. "Yes ma'am, but you have to get up and get ready so I can go to work." I said smiling. "Otay. But I don't like you going to work, I want you to stay wif me." She said pouting. "Me two princess, but I promise we won't be struggling for long okay?" I said looking into her beautiful blue eyes. After our little conversation, we both hopped out of the bed and walked into the bathroom. When we got in there I ran her a bath. Once it was full and warm enough, I took of her night gown and placed her into the bath. I washed her silky hair and then her body. I then got her out of the bath and put her in a white shirt that wasn't her size but it would have to do. I then put her blue jean shorts on her with her white flip flops. I kept her hair down so it could dry faster. While I was putting on my work clothes, I received a text from Logan.

Lo: Hey, my mom said she can watch her today. Her new address is 313 Byrd St.

Ti: Thank you soo much. You're a lifesaver. xoxo

Lo: No prob. xoxo

I then put my phone in my pocket, along with my keys and through my hair into a high ponytail. I then made sure Em's bag was packed with extra clothes, pull ups, snacks and juices. Once I thought everything was packed, I put Emmie on my hip and walked out of our room. "Remember Em why do we have to be quiet?" I said seeing if she knew the answer of my question. "Because if we are loud we will wake up the monsters." She said with fear in her eyes. "Good girl. Now shhh we have to be quiet." I said in a whisper as we pass the two sleeping figures on the couches. Once we made it outside I Gave her a kiss on the cheek and strapped her in her car seat. I then got in my seat and started the car, but this time it started the first time. "Ti, I'm hungry." She said rubbing her tummy. I looked at my poor little sister from the rear view mirror and saw how she was so under weight. Before backing out of my driveway I dug into my pocket and saw that I had seven dollars. "How about we go to Sonic huh?" I said looking at her again. "Yay." She said clapping her hands. I stopped by Sonic and got her French toast sticks with some syrup. For a drink I got her a apple juice. Once the waiter got there she told me it was 5.75 and I was so close to not having enough money. I tipped the waitress a dollar because I know how it feels not to be tipped and it sucks. I then grabbed Em's apple juice and stuck the straw in there for her and handed it to her. I handed her the food and watched her face light up with excitement. I really wish I could see that more often but I can't and it's killing me. I then got my phone and put in the address that Logan gave me and saw that it was only a block or two away. I was pulling up in the driveway in less that five minutes. I unbuckled my seat and Em's too as I walked to the door with her bag and food. I rung the doorbell and not even minute later Ms. Nicole answered. "Hey girls. Em your getting so big." She said taking the little girl away from me. "Hey Ms. Nicole, thank you for watching her." I said giving her a hug. "It's no problem sweetheart." She said kissing my cheek. "Well I have to go." I said looking at my clock seeing it said 9:50. "Sorry to rush out of here but I stopped to get this little princess some food. I get off at eight and I'll be right over after work." I said giving her a small smile. "Okay Hun." She said smiling at me. "Thank you once again and Em you better be good for Ms. Nicole okay?." I said with a thankful smile. "No need for that babe. Now go to work before your late." she said playfully scolding me. "Yes ma'am, I love you Em." I said blowing her a kiss. "I wove you too Ti." She said smiling. After that I got into my car and headed for a long, miserable day of work that is ahead of me.

Up top is a pic of baby Em. I think she is the cutest thing ever and her and Ti's relationship is totes cute. I know the first two chapters are boring but i promise they will get better and I'm trying to make the chapters long because I hate short chapters but thanks for reading and remember please vote, comment & read.
