Double update
Jungkook carefully laid Y/N down on the bed, adjusting the pillows behind her to provide support. His movements were gentle, uncharacteristically so, as if he feared hurting her further. His hands hovered for a moment before he reached for another pillow and placed it under her injured foot, ensuring it was elevated.
A sharp hiss left Y/N's lips as the pain intensified from the slight movement, and Jungkook immediately tensed. Without thinking, his fingers brushed over her swollen ankle in an attempt to soothe it.
"Aahh! Please don’t touch it," she flinched, pulling her leg back instinctively.
Jungkook withdrew his hand at once, his jaw tightening as guilt flickered in his eyes. But before he could say anything, the sound of approaching footsteps caught his attention. He turned to see the family doctor, Kim Jeong-ho, entering the room, followed closely by almost every member of their family and friends. Their faces were lined with worry, and the air was thick with concern.
Mrs. Jeon had already briefed the doctor about Y/N’s condition, so he wasted no time in kneeling beside her, inspecting the injured ankle with careful hands. Y/N tried not to wince as he applied slight pressure, but the pain was evident in the way her fingers clutched the bedsheet.
"Don’t worry," Dr. Kim finally said after a thorough examination. "The ligaments are just overstretched. It’s a minor sprain."
He reached into his medical bag and pulled out an elastic bandage, carefully wrapping it around her ankle with practiced precision.
"This bandage will help reduce the swelling," he continued. "Along with it, I’ll prescribe some medicine. Make sure to get them as soon as possible."
Jungkook, who had been standing with his arms crossed, exhaled softly. "It’s just a sprain?"
Dr. Kim nodded. "Yes, but I’d advise her not to walk for a few days. Rest is crucial for proper healing. If you take care of it, she should be fine in a week."
Y/N gave a small nod of understanding, her fingers still gripping the sheets.
"Here are the medicines," Dr. Kim said, handing the prescription to Taehyung, who took it with a firm nod.
"I’ll go buy them now," Taehyung said, his voice gentle as he looked at Y/N. "Just hold on a little, okay?"
Y/N gave him a small, appreciative smile.
"Thank you, doctor, for coming on such short notice," Mr. Jeon said, shaking hands with him as he led him out.
Once the doctor left, Mrs. Jeon immediately sat beside Y/N, brushing a hand over her head with motherly concern. "Are you alright now, dear?"
Y/N felt warmth spread in her chest at the older woman’s genuine worry. She offered her a soft smile. "Don’t worry, eomma. It’s fine now."
Mrs. Jeon sighed dramatically, shaking her head. "Why did this have to happen to you, my child? I wish God had done this to Jungkook instead."
Jungkook, who had been silently watching, blinked in disbelief. "Mom! How could you say that to your own son? It wasn’t even my fault!"
The room erupted into laughter at Jungkook’s betrayed expression, his friends finding the situation entirely too amusing.
Mrs. Jeon, unfazed, placed her hands on her hips and shot him a glare. "Don’t talk to me."
"Eomma, why~?" Jungkook whined, pouting.
