She let out the weight of everything as she sobbed into his chest.
Before Murtasim had a chance to talk to Meerab, there was a knock on the door with the announcement, "Khana lag gaya hai."
Meerab lifted her head from his chest and quickly wiped her tears. "Chalo Murtasim let's eat."
She went out of the room. Murtasim followed and caught her arm. "First you need to tell me what made you cry Meerab." he demanded.
"Murtasim bat kafi lambi hai we'll talk later. I promise I'll tell you everything." Once more tears started forming in Meerab's eyes. Murtasim noticed her watery eyes and swiftly changed the subject. "The whole house smells heavenly. Khanay me kya bana hai aj?"
Meerab smirked and said "Fish".
Murtasim gulped then asked, "Aur mere liye?"
"Tum bhi wohi khaogay jo sab khayengy Murtasim." Meerab stated calmly.
"Meerab Khan did you forget about my allergy?" Murtasim was dumbfounded.
"Oops sorry Murtasim. Mujhy yad hi nahi raha. Lekin ab tou kuch nahi ho sakta na.." Meerab pouted at him.
Oh God how could his Meerab forget something so important about him. Murtasim didn't know how to react without shouting at her when he heard her giggle. Then she started laughing out loud.
" Meerab..? " Murtasim raised an eyebrow at her.
"I was kidding Murtasim. Tumhe waqayi laga ke mei itni bari bat bhool jaongi?" Meerab asked him as she forced herself to stop laughing.
"Yehi tou mei soch raha tha ke aesa kese hogya." Murtasim shook his head in disbelief. Then he grinned at her. "Yeh meri teasing ka badla tha?"
"Kuch aesa hi samjh lo tum. I just wanted to remind you that two can play this game." Meerab smiled.
"Hmm you can play as much as you want, lekin jeet meri hi hogi dekh lena tum."
"Oh really Murtasim? Yeh tou waqt hi batayega." Meerab went towards the dining room giggling.

Much to Meerab's dismay Haya and Anwar Khan were also present at lunch. So she decided to eat in silence. She saw that Haya barely ate anything and left the dining room way before anyone else. She was still in a bad mood.
" Lagta hai isse behan ki yad aa rahi hai. Haya aur Marium dono ek dusre ke bohat qareeb thay." Maa Begum remarked as Haya left.
Meerab knew what the matter actually was but decided to stay quiet hoping that the talk from earlier could knock some sense into Haya.

---

As soon as Meerab left her room, Haya started planning revenge. How had she dared to talk to her like that. Haya paced around in her room thinking of something.
She remembered how "Rohail" was a sensitive topic between the couple. She somehow had to create a misunderstanding regarding Rohail that'd force Murtasim to kick Meerab out of the house. Haya wasn't sure what to do and how to do yet but she knew she would figure everything out soon. Just then she heard the call for lunch and decided to go, not wanting to hear any more lectures from Meerab if she missed her lunch.

During lunch Haya had an idea. While Meerab was sitting here maybe she could get hold of her phone and find something that could prove or even hint her relationship with Rohail so she slipped out of the dining room.
When Haya entered their room, she saw that Meerab's phone was ringing. "Allah kare Rohail ka phone ho", she muttered under her breath.
The caller id showed the name 'Saba'. Without thinking Haya attended the call.
"Hello Meerab kesi ho tum? Murtasim bhai kese hain? I hope unhe tumhe mujhy aur Rohail ke sath dekh kar bura na lga ho." Saba said all the things in a rush wondering if everything was okay in her best friend's married life.
Haya thought to herself. So this Saba knew Rohail. Haya changed her voice a bit and said.
" Han Saba sab theek hai. Mei zara jaldi me hu bat nahi kar sakti zyada. Mujh se Rohail ka number misplace hogya hai wo dedo please."
"Han ruko mei deti hu", Saba said.
"Mei tumhe send krdeti hu na number."
"Nahi Saba Murtasim ko pata chal gaya tou?" Haya said in a scared voice so Saba asked her to jot down the number as she said it.
"Thank you Saba. Acha ayenda call pe ya jab bhi hum milay is bat ka zikr nahi karna. Mei risk nahi le sakti ke Murtasim ko kabhi iss bat ka pata chale. Okay Bye."
Saba was really confused but she also said goodbye and hung up.
Haya rubbed her hands gleefully and deleted the call history. Ab maza ayega na Meerab.

Back at the lunch table.
"Maa Sahab mei soch raha tha kuch dino ke liye Meerab ko apne sath le kar gao chala jau." Murtasim finally broke the eery silence that had lingered for so long.
"Kheryat se jana hai beta?" Maa Begum asked.
"Ji ji bas wo kuch waqt guzarna chahta hu Meerab ke sath aur kuch nahi." Murtasim assured her that nothing was wrong. Turning to Anwar Khan he said, "Chacha sahab saare mamlaat sambhal lengy ap?"
"Han beta tum be fikar ho ke jao. Shadi ke bad ek dafa bhi jo tum ne chutti le kar aram kiya ho. Acha hai kuch din Meerab ke sath guzaro ek dusre ko waqt do dono. Iss se understanding barhe gi." Anwar Khan was in favour of the plan.
"Chalen theek hai phir hum kal subah niklengay InShaAllah."
"Theek hai beta. Allah tum dono ko apne hifz o aman me rakhe." Maa Begum blessed them both.

"Zindagi me pehli bar gao jaane ke liye itna khush hu mei." Murtasim told Meerab once they were in their room.
"Aur is khushi ki waja?" Meerab asked.
"Tum guess karo Meerab." Murtasim smiled.
"Is it me?" Meerab asked coming closer.
"Of course it's you." Murtasim wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her closer.

Ghar me mukammal khamoshi thi. Dopehr ka waqt Maa Begum ke aram ka tha. Anwar Mamu apne portion me thay aur Meerab aur Murtasim apne kamre me. Yehi sahi waqt tha ke wo Rohail se contact kar sakti thi. She quickly dialed the number that she had hastily written on her hand.

On the other side of the house, Meerab was busy packing the bags for their trip to the village. Murtasim was helping her with the packing.
After a whike, looking at the time on his watch, Murtasim said "I think we should take a little break. Mujhy Chacha Sahab se kuch discuss karna hai. Tum aesa karo chaye bana do please."
"Acha mei chaye ka kehti hu Kitchen me." Meerab said standing up.
"Noo Jaaan, tumhare hath ki peeni hai."
Meerab smiled slightly blushing. "Okay banati hu. Jaldi aa jana warna thandi hojayegi chaye."
"Ajaonga don't worry." Murtasim left the room and Meerab left too. Before going into the kitchen, she grabbed something from a cabinet and hid it under the clothes in her bag.
Then she went into the kitchen to prepare tea.
She had made tea only once or twice in her life and that too for her Baba. He had said that Meerab ke hath ki chaye bohat achi hoti hai but she knew even if the tea had been disgusting he would have praised her. So Meerab was nervous. A maid in the kitchen asked her. "Bibi Ji mei bana du?"
Meerab shook her head. "Tum bas mujhy ye batao ke karna kya hota hai. Khan ko kesi chaye pasand hai?"
"Meerab Bibi Khan tou karak chaye peete hain."
"Aur cheeni?"
"1 chamach se bhi kam."
Meerab thanked the maid and focused on the tea.
After she was done pouring the tea out in the cups she tasted from one. A little less sugar to her liking but it was actually good. A part of her knew that Murtasim Khan would drink it all even if it tasted bad.
"Chaye", Meerab said as she placed the tray on the small coffee table in their room.
"Bohat der nahi lag gayi ek chaye banane me Meerab? I was starting to get a little worried." Murtasim asked.
"Wo actually mei ne ek do bar hi chaye banayi hai life me iss liye. Mujhy sahi se ati nahi hai" Meerab explained sheepishly.
"Oh. Shayad mujhy phir tum se nahi kehna chahye tha. I'm sorry I didn't know. Ayenda se keh dena kisi ko." Murtasim apologised.
"Tumhari biwi ke hoty huwe koi aur kyu banayega tumhari chaye?" Meerab was angry.
"Oh tou ap possessive bhi hain Mrs. Khan?" Murtasim teased.
Meerab said nothing just blushed. Then she handed him the cup of tea.
"How much sugar did you put?" Murtasim asked. He wasn't fond of sweet tea or coffee.
"Not too much. Half a teaspoon I guess?" Meerab said as she added more sugar to her tea.
Murtasim nodded and took a sip. "Well the time you took to make this was worth it. It's really good."
Meerab smiled. She knew it. Wo tareef hi karega.
"Next time se don't even put this much sugar." He said.
"Kyu Murtasim is it too sweet for your liking?" Meerab asked.
"Uh Huh.. Tum ek sip le lena bas then it'd be perfect."
Meerab blushed again and Murtasim smiled. She looked so beautiful when she blushed and he rather enjoyed it.

Keep the comments coming in. I love reading them.

A/N: I saw Episode 13 today and I thought maybe Meerab could tease him about the fish again. I loved that scene. Also a lot of times voice does sound different on phone calls so please don't come for me that why didn't Saba think that the voice wasn't Meerab's.
The idea for the last scene is from the Joshanda scene (credit goes to Nooran Makhdoom) . I didn't steal anyone's idea I was just inspired by it.
I started a new Meerasim story called Fates Intertwined. I have only published the prologue for now but a very interesting plot is incoming so do show it some love.
