I found Dal wiping the side of my Jeep with his thumb. The fuck- "What the hell are you doing to Delilah?" Delilah's my Jeeps name. Ironic right?! Yes you guessed it...Dal chose the name."I'm trying to clean her-" he said whilst licking his thumb and trying again. I swear this guy needs professional help. A group of girls walked past giving Dal weird looks, I shrugged and offered a weak smile. "I spilt my coffee on the drivers door." Dal said still wiping the door panel. "I'm trying to get it off." He concentrated harder then stood back to admire his work. "There." Turning to me and smiling.
I scoffed and got in my Jeep. "Are you trying to spill your coffee at every opportunity or what? First poor Aria..then Delilah, come on man." I reply starting the engine. I reversed out of the space and headed in the direction of our home building, we were already late - thanks to Dals coffee incidents - the least we could do is show up. Note to my future self: Do not buy or allow Dal to buy hot drinks...ever. I glanced towards the cafeteria to see if Aria was there. Sure enough, she was drinking her latte with a red-head girl I don't recognise. Must be her friend I suppose? I focused back on the road again to avoid another incident, God forbid we've had enough of them for one day.
"You like her." Dal smirked at me. "I do not like Aria." I replied sternly, shocked by his sudden accusation. Dal stared at me, and then to my surprise, his smirk grew into a full on grin. "Are you possessed, cause I swear to god Dal. If you are then get the fuck out of my Jeep now!" I stared at him blankly. He just continued grinning at me. "Dal seriously what the actual fuck is going on?"
"You do like her." He grins ear-to-ear. I scoff loudly. "Like hell I do." Stubbornly, I refuse to take my eyes off the road and look at the complete freak still grinning that's sat next to me. I could see out of the corner of my eye, the prick was still grinning. "Stop it." I demand with a loud, dramatic huff.
Dal stared ahead still grinning. "Why would I stop when it's the truth?" He challenged. "Dal I swear to freaking lucifer. stop. it." I replied growing frustrated. Dal chuckled beside me.
"Just admit it, it's true."
"No it's not."
"Yes it is."
"No it's not."
"Yes it is."
"Fuck off."
"Mmmm no." I turned on the radio as we came up to a red light, to try and block out the twat sitting next to me and of course, to make this morning even better. Fucking Abba was playing. I dropped my head forward onto the wheel causing a long beep to fill my ears. I didn't care, as long as it wasn't Dal singing 'Money money money, must be funny in a rich mans world-"
~~~~~~~~After class Dal went back to our dorm with Gabriel - my best friend of over ten years - leaving me with freedom and peace for the first time today. I decided to go buy another coffee. I need it if I'm gonna get through double law later. Plus I forgot to leave a tip this morning as I saw Dal gawking at Arias chest through the window like an eagle. So I sprinted to her rescue. The poor girl was was just too kind and forgiving towards Dal. He ruined her shirt for crying out loud and she just smiled it off as if Dal threw a cookie at her instead...like come on-
I walked through the doors and to my delight I saw Aria, queuing for another latte I'm guessing. Seeing her just made me feel a strange pulse of happiness...this is weird. I walk up and join her in the queue. Her hair is pulled up into a high ponytail with two strands hanging down at the front. She's wearing small diamond earrings. God this girl is gorgeous- okay... what the fuck is happening to me?! I shake my head forcing those thoughts away. "Long time no see." I smile down at her.
"Oh hey!" She smiled back. "Coffee?" She questions. "Always, you?" I retort. "It's always coffee with me, I drink it like I breathe air." She chuckles. I laugh too. She stares up at me and smiles again. I can't help but admire her eyes. They're stunning. They're the brightest shade of Emerald green I've ever seen. I think it's my new favourite colour. God what am I
doing-
