Ugh... wha? What happened? Izuku's mind was fuzzy as he felt himself waking up. His vision was fuzzy and his head hurt. He wasn't sure what exactly had happened to get him in this predicament. Did I pass out? I know I have a concussion... but how did I get it?
"Oh look, the brat is finally awake." The scratchy, hateful voice that spoke quickly shook Izuku from his daze and he looked up to see a young man with long white hair and red hairs sneering at him. The look sent a shiver down his spine and he tried to pull away instinctively only to finally notice that his wrists were locked onto the arms of the chair. "I bet you've got lots of questions for us."
Izuku wanted to say no; he wanted to ignore the man, but all he could see were cement walls and he was starting to panic, so of course, he couldn't stop talking. "Yeah, where am I? I don't know who you are. Why did you take me? You won't get anything from a ransom, I'm a nobody."
"You know, you are annoying. Don't you ever shut up?" The voice made Izuku flinch, the man getting close and putting his face right into his. "Hmm, it might be fun to watch you squirm for a bit before we hand you over."
"Hand me over?" It wasn't said in any special way, but the phrase made Izuku freeze. He didn't want to think of any worse case scenario, but he was already starting to get flashbacks and his mind was jumping to conclusions all on its own. "H-hand me over to wh-who?"
Before the white-haired man could answer, there was a new voice that spoke up from the corner of the room, drawing Izuku's attention. "Wow, he hasn't even been here that long and he is already scared enough to be stuttering. They weren't wrong when they told us to put him here." The voice belonged to a black-haired man with scars all over his face and arms, making Izuku want to puke with how disgusting it looked.
"Dabi, shut up. Where is the other one?"
"He's in the other room. Don't worry, he's still out cold. Won't wake up for a while."
"Good. They'll be here soon."
There's someone else here too? Who did they take? And who is supposed to be coming? What is going on? Izuku's thoughts were going haywire as he tried to figure out what was going on. He was shaking, a cold sweat beginning to form on his forehead as he came up with ideas, but before he could form anything coherent, the two men stopped their conversation and turned to face him again.
"Ah, you see, we are a small gang, doesn't really matter who we are, but we were hired to pick you up and bring you here along with someone else. You'll find out who in about, five minutes now. You're a tricky one to catch, that's for sure. You are never alone and are always in a crowded space. It took forever for you to be on your own in a place where we could get you and get out without being seen. Unfortunately we won't get to have any fun with you, but we'll at least get to see you cry as you're leaving."
There was a pit in his stomach as Izuku listened to the man speak. It was a vague answer, but there was also enough information to make him shake harder, adrenaline and fear coursing through his blood.
No one else spoke and Izuku ended up looking at the floor as he waited. He had a feeling that he knew where things were headed, and if he was right, well... he didn't know what he was going to do.
A loud crashing sound is what ripped Izuku from his thoughts. He tried to calm his breathing but the rhythmic thudding of footsteps only made his breath quicken. I know those steps. I'd know them anywhere, no matter how much time had passed. Even knowing who was coming did nothing to assuage his fears, in fact, it only seemed to make it worse.
It seemed like time slowed to a stop as he listened to the footsteps growing closer, seeming to take forever for the sound to finally stop as the person stood on the other side of the door. By the time the door knob started to turn Izuku had tears freely streaming down his face. "Ah, Izuku. I've missed you." His voice was still just as hateful as it always was, with a phony sweet lilt to it as if he actually cared. "I don't know why you felt you had to run away. But I've got you again, so that's all that matters. Now, you guys, get out of here."
