soojin was crossing the road, being careful to find the right moment in which the cars didn't pass, taking the uphill road that led to the suburbs.

she had her backpack over her shoulders and she could admit they were hurting a little

she had just gotten out of school and planned to go home and relax as soon as possible.

her house was close to the school building so she always walked, also due to the fact that her parents were almost never at home and she really didn't feel like taking the bus given her shyness and social anxiety

the roads she had to take to get home were deserted and the silence was killing her

"hey blue" soojin whispers looking to her left

she always did, blue had been her imaginary friend for six years now.

she had the drawing that represented her face stuck in the room with a thumbtack

she was the most beautiful girl she ever drew, and that made her special

"haven't you forgotten me yet, soojin? remarkable"

in the blonde's head, blue was there walking beside her.

with her hair moving as she walked and little dimples appearing on the sides of her mouth every time she smiled

they weren't very noticeable, but soojin did notice them, and she always thought they were her coolest feature

she had been blue's friend for so long that imagining her had now become a normal, almost spontaneous, thing.

always the same height, with the same voice and with the same length of hair

the blonde had always thought of blue as its own entity

when they "talked" the brunette seemed to structure a real speech, just like a normal person

and she was good at that too

"it's been six years blue, give up"

blue winked and crossed her arms, starting to walk up the slope without fatigue while soojin, on the contrary, was short of breath

probably the people who were at school with her were strange that a fifteen-year-old girl was talking to herself, but she didn't care

her friends and parents had gotten used to it and now treated blue like a real person

minnie swears she saw her, even if she didn't, just to give twine to the older one

"I'd be willing to carry your backpack, but.."

blue ran a hand through the eldest's briefcase, giggling

"It doesnt matter"
