Y/n Y/l/n, agrees to help her friend execute a kidnapping. Y/n finds herself struggling to contain the situation, killing 2 people in the process, one of which is Hailee Steinfeld. After realizing that Hailee never died, she rushes to finish the job...
"No, there's a detective coming over to investigate everything." Hailee says.
I forgot all about that. Holy fuck.
"Oh, okay." I say.
"Have fun though." Hailee says.
I smile and she kisses my cheek.
Time Skip; Hailee's View
"How have you been?" David asks.
"Good." I say.
"You feeling up to discuss everything?" David asks.
"Yeah." I say.
"Great." David says.
"So a recap of everything we know. You and Max Gonzales we're found in some bushes off Hobbs Road. Max had been shot in the face once and you had been shot in the back of the twice." David says.
"You miraculously survived with just a broke arm after undergoing surgery but you lost your memory. Can you tell me what you do remember? Do you know how you and Max ended up together?" David says.
"I think I was at Max's house that night." I say.
"Do you remember why you were at his house?" He asks.
"Max wanted me to listen to his new album." I say.
"I remember seeing 2 masked people." I say.
"So you saw them kidnapping Max and they went after you too?" He asks.
"I guess." I say.
"We talked to your agent and he said you said you couldn't make it to the movie premiere because of a family emergency. There's an audio recording of you on the phone with him." He says.
"I'll play it for you." He says opening his laptop.
He types and an audio starts to play.
"Hello." I say.
"Hey. Everything okay?" Ethan asks.
There's a few seconds of silence and I hear a click.
"Yeah, there's just a family emergency I have to take care of." I say.
"Oh, okay. I hope everything is alright, keep me updated." Ethan says.
"Will do, bye." I say.
"Bye." Ethan says.
"I don't remember that." I say as the audio ends.
"Most likely you were held at gun point. Think really hard, what can you tell me about these 2 masked people?" David says.
"I don't know." I say.
"Just think." David says.
"Um, there was a guy. I think the other person called him Chris. He was a white guy. Maybe..." I say.
"Fuck." I mumble.
"Take your time." David says writing in hot notebook.
"Maybe 6 foot, I could see that he had green eyes through his ski mask." I say.
"Can you remember anything about the other person?" David asks.
"It was woman, I think she had, y/e/c eyes. I don't remember anything else about her." I say.
"Do not lie to me, Ms Steinfeld." The woman says.
"She had an accent, maybe European." I say.
"This Chris guy. Sounds like an informant we had that went dark around the same time your body was found. He was planning a kidnapping and we caught him. Said he was working with someone but never said who." David says.
"Promised him he'd get a lighter sentence if he ratted her." David says.
"You know your partner is a fed right?" I ask.
"Chris? No. We've known each other for years." The woman says.
"She killed him." I say.
"What?!" David asks.
"They were best friends and I think I called him a fed. Sometime after that she moved us and there was a dead body in the hallway." I say.
"Did you hear gunshots? How'd she kill him?" David asks.
"There were two shots." I say.
"We responded to shots at an abandoned warehouse somewhere near Hobbs Road. There was a body but we couldn't identify him because he was shot twice in the face, about 6 foot." David says.
"She found out he was an informant killed him. Panicked and decided to move you guys. Where we found your bodies, there was blood in the grass a few feet away so you tried to run. I'm assuming it was you because there were two casings near the blood." He says.
"She shot you twice in the head and threw you both in the bushes. Firefighters responded to a burning van a couple streets over. That must've been the van she used." He says.
"All we have to do is identify her and put her behind bars. Easier said than done." He says.
"You're really good at this." I say.
"Couldn't have done it without you." He says.
"If you remember anything else, please give me a call." He says.
I nod and he leaves.
Time Skip
"How'd it go?" Y/n asks.
"Well, he uncovered everything but the woman's identity." I say.
"Everything?" Y/n asks.
"Everything." I say.
"Damn." Y/n says.
"Did you have fun?" I ask.
"Um, yeah. I haven't seen her in a while." Y/n says.
"You must never wanna see your little girl again." Someone says.
I hear a gunshot and I widen my eyes.
"You okay?" Y/n asks rubbing my back.
The woman grabs me and I punch her in the face.
"Yeah." I say.
"I'm here for you, okay?" Y/n asks.
I smile and nod. Y/n smiles and I kiss her.
