Louis knew he was in trouble when he got the message that his mother will be getting married in a couple of weeks. She called him and told him how happy and how excited she is about finally meeting his new boyfriend at the wedding.
Yes, Louis had a boyfriend named John. Their relationship only lasted for about three months and Johannah, Louis' mum, definitely wanted to meet him. She was absolutely happy that her son finally found someone.
What his whole family didn't know was that John and he had broken up about two weeks before the invitation came in. The good thing, though, is that nobody knew any details about him, only the existence of a boyfriend.
Louis had already disappointed Johannah about relationships in the past and couldn't do it one more time. And he for himself didn't want to go single to the wedding. His aunts would try to find some guy because it would be so important for him regarding the fact that he's already 22 years old. Louis became sick of their lectures very quickly and now he found himself in this misery.
He complained about the whole thing when he told Liam and Zayn, his two flatmates and also best friends.
''So one thing you could do is renting a date that accompanies you to the wedding. I mean, your family hasn't seen the boyfriend yet'', Liam suggested.
''Like in that movie?'', Louis asked. His best friend nodded. ''If you mean Wedding Date.''
Louis frowned and thought of this idea. ''What do you say, Zayn?''
''Dunno.'' He shrugged. ''But I think it could kinda work. Everyone would be satisfied.''
After he thought of it for another mere minutes he had made a decision.
''Okay. I'll do it. Where can I rent a date?''
They looked on the internet and found a website of a company where you can rent a person who acts like your date. After scrolling through the whole homepage Louis clicked on the list of the available people.
''This man looks hot'', Zayn said. The picture showed a tall man with curly, long brown hair. He wore a button up and skinny jeans with black boots.
''You definitely have to take him'', Liam added when Louis had clicked on his profile.
''You're right, he's perfect'', Louis agreed.
And with that Louis clicked on the button which said rent a date. He had to type in his email address and got one immediately. It said the chosen person will message you soon and will make an appointment to discuss the necessary details.
Louis had no idea what was going to happen and felt a bit frightened but also relieved because this date was his rescue.
