Makoto's P.O.V

"Makoto, come help me out in the kitchen!" My mother yelled down at the kitchen. I could hear the knife hitting the wooden board as she chopped down the vegetables into little pieces.
I nodded, "Yes, mother. I'll be there for a few second." I said as I put down all my things and started to sprint my way to the kitchen.

It was a busy day in the restaurant. Business man, families, and teens all over the place. I could hear the voice of my mother inside the restaurant that came from the kitchen. Attracting some costumers to attracting towards at me, "I apologize for the inconvenience." I said as they continue to eat their meals. My mother stressing over little things I could see her veins popping out of her head, her sweat dripping all over the place, and her face turning red like a tomato. She yelled at every waiter telling to hurry up. I chuckled to myself at the expressions of the waiters.
"Mother, calm down and let them do their work." I said as I grabbed the vegetables and started to chop them down.
She shook her head, "Oh my dear son, you know how I am when it's rush hours. I can't help but to stress over." She said as she wiped her sweat away with a face towel.
I chuckled, "Don't worry when I hit 18. I promise you and father wouldn't have to stress anymore." I said as I gave her an embrace.
She smiled, "Oh my sweet Makoto. Thank you for helping me out even if it means taking over your free time." She said, "Can you please get the bags outside? Your father is very tired already."

I nodded as I did what I was told. When I opened the door the cool summer breeze immediately hit my bare skin, the sun shining, and the people crowding the streets.
"Good morning Makoto." Peter the delivery man said as he greeted me with a warm embrace.
I smiled at him, "Good morning to you too, Peter!" I chirp back at him.
"The bags are inside the truck." He said as pulled away from the embrace. He opened his truck, "Sorry I can't carry them. My back has been hurting since the last few days."
I patted his back lightly not wanting to make his situation worse, "No problem, I don't mind." I said as I picked up the bags up and carried it to the storage. When I got the last bags, I saw a familiar face walking in the crowd making me drop the bags and immediately follow her. I pushed through the crowd trying to follow that familiar face. When I finally reached to her as I gently grabbed her arm. She turned around and it wasn't the face I wasn't looking for.

My cheeks flushed red in embarrassment, "My apologies ma'am. I thought you were the young lady I was looking for." I said.
She smiled at me showing her pearly whites, "Don't worry, it's okay." She said.
I started to walk back to the way to the restaurant when my eyes landed on a small old book store. I went in and the sweet aroma of books filled up my nostril.

"Good afternoon young man. What can I help you with?" A old man asked me as he stopped stacking the books on the book shelf.
I shook my head, "I'm just looking around. I'll tell you if I see something I like sir." I said.
He nodded as he continued to stack up books. I looked around as my finger tips touched the thick paper that held together and called as a 'book' feeling rough through every touch I gaze my hands against it. My eyes landed on a Shakespeare book as I tried to grabbed it. My hands met with another hands. When I looked up, I saw her again the girl I was looking for in the woods I met and can't stop thinking about with rosy cheeks, hazel nut eyes sprinkling in the light that surrounds us both, and soft curls that bounce up everywhere yet put it in a neat way to show them off.
"I'm sorry there. I didn't know you were going for that book too." I said as I let go of it letting her have it, "It's such a great book."
Her cheeks flushed redder than it was before, "No, you can take it. I can just get another copy of it." She said as tried to give it to me.
I denied the offer, "It won't be a kind thing to do for such a beautiful lady like you." I said, "I don't think you could get another copy of that, its the last one." As I pointed to the last stock of it.
"Thank you for giving me this book." She said, "I can make you barrow this when I'm finished with it."
I smiled, "That would be awesome." I said.

She walked away as she purchased the book. She gave me a small smile and mouthing a 'thank you'. I smiled back at her and gave her a quick wave to show she was welcomed. When the small bell rang signaling that she left. I followed her, "Wait!" I yelled as I tried to catch up with her.
She immediately stopped, "Yes, what can I help you with?" She asked me. I tried to catch my breath, "I-I just w-wanted to k-k-know your name." I said as my lungs grasp for air.
She chuckled at me, "I did promise you that." She said as she tuck a strand of her hair behind her ear. "Well my name is Rose."
I grinned, how elated I was to know her name. Rose, the girl who made me think about every single minute that's passing time. Her cheeks flushed redder than it was before and I noticed I was staring awfully to long. "I'm sorry for staring at you, Rose." I said as my cheeks flushed a light shade of pink. "Can I please get to know you better?" I asked her not thinking about if she thought it was so random to ask a girl that you met a couple days ago to get to know her.
She looked up at the sky, "I do not want your parents to worry about you." She said as she looked down at me and gave me a small smile, "Since if you insisted me. Might as well get to know you too."
