Rose's P.O.V

My whole world stopped as my heart beating out of my chest as I heard those words come out of his mouth. Anxiety filled up my nerve system as my palms started to sweat making me want to tremble. He chuckled, "I'm just joking," He said as he closed his eyes, "Even if I was serious, I would just have kissed you already." I could feel the blood rushing through my cheeks. He opened one of his eyes, peeking, at my reaction that he wanted me to feel. And I gave him that reaction he wanted me to feel. "Whatever Makoto." I said as I hide my face into my hands to recover in such embarrassment I put myself into. "You know Rose, you are very special. Did you know that?" He asked me. I shook my head in denial, I was nothing near special nor to something that was worth it, "No," I stated, "I never had known that feeling that I'm special in life."

His ocean-green eyes popped out as those words left my the tip of my tongue, "You must be pulling my leg!" He exclaimed. My face stayed neutral, he looked at me such sorrow to hear those words come out of me. "If no one haven't made you feel special in some point of your life, then I will be the first one." He said. My heart stopped once again as butterflies starts to swarm over me. I gave him a nervous laugh, "You don't have to. There's far more greater things in life that you could be doing than making a girl, you just met, feel special." I said. And it is true there are more things in life that could be worth spending your time. Yet, he debated, "But I want to." He said as his eyes pierced through mine.

I broke the contact as Iooked up at the sky as it turned into evening, stars surrounding us underneath, "And why is that?" I asked him with such inquisitiveness. "You make me wonder what life can offer me," He admitted, "Cliche how it sounds but you do make me look at the world differently now. You are so naive and I find that so extraordinary from a girl." I shook my head in disagreement, "I do not want to seem or sound so modest but how can you say that?" I asked him as I looked into his bright eyes.

He stayed silent, not knowing what to say next. I stayed silent, not knowing what to say too. We both stared into the evening sky, silently. Until he broke the silence once again, "Because something about you makes me want to jump out of my comfort zone." He said. There again was the same feeling I felt that now is familiar with me. It became a second-home now to me.
