Faded Mist

Beginning

Percy's POV
Ugh! The mist is gone and now the gods are making us go to school. *pouty face*

This is what they said: "DEMIGODS, NOW THAT THE MIST IS GONE, WE MUST SEND YOU TO DIFFERENT MORTAL HIGH SCHOOLS TO FIND A SPAWN OF ATHENA, WHO IS ALSO A DESCENDANT OF HECATE. THE FATES HAS DECREED THAT THIS PERSON WILL SALVAGE THE MIST. PLEASE TRY TO ACT LIKE NORMAL MORTALS. YOU MUST TRY NOT TO REVEAL YOUR TRUE SELVES UNLESS A MONSTER APPEARS OR IF YOU FIND THIS 'MIST SAVIOR.' WE WILL BE GOING TO SCHOOLS AS WELL EXPLAINING ABOUT OUR WORLD, SO PLEASE DO NOT BE ALARMED IF THEY KNOW. GOOD LUCK TO ALL."

The news was taken badly by Roman and Greek demigods alike, but there was nothing we could do about it. The only thing I was upset about was that all of us were split up, so no Annabeth.

It has been about a month and I have been going to Goode again, but I went by Percy Blowfis. I made two mortal friends, Samantha and Josh. Samantha was American with a Spanish background. She had waist-length, curly, unruly, brown hair and had glasses. She was an average B student and wasn't very athletic, but she was really nice to me and wasn't stuck-up. Josh was on the swim team with me and we were pretty close. He had broad shoulders, light brown, close-cropped hair, and a permanent smile on his face. He was funny and a bit of a prankster. I bet Leo would like him.

I was at my locker, talking with Samantha and Josh about the upcoming swim meet, when, *shudder* Katy(I'm sorry if this is your name),the official school slut, came over, and said, "Hey, do you want to go to the movies later?" in a gross voice, she thought was attractive.

"Um, no," I replied, pushing her away from me.

"But-" Katy started.

*RIIIIIINNNNGGGGG*

"Saved by the bell" I thought as I rushed off to Greek with my friends scurrying behind me, leaving Katy awkwardly standing in the middle of the hallway.

"Nice save!" Samantha said, high-fiving me.

"Dang girl," Josh said, snapping in a Z formation and acting all sassy-like. "Why don't you just go out with her?"

"Umm, first: I have a girlfriend and second: with her attitude." I responded, returning his sassy accent and movements.

"Are you sure you girlfriend isn't Siri?" Josh teased.

We all laughed as we headed to Greek class.
