⚠️Mentions of abuse, abandonment ⚠️

Misun's POV

When I got to my room I slammed the door and locked it. I sat on my bed and started to cry into my pillow. I haven't seen Wooyoung since the day before my mom brought me here, which was 6 years ago.

He was my best friend and was the only person that was actually nice to me. My "mother" brought me here on his birthday knowing it would hurt me more. I felt so bad that it was his birthday, and I still do, but there was nothing that I could do. I've always always felt like it was my fault that she brought me here after years of abusing me, that was probably my fault too. I doubt she told him the truth. There's no telling what she told him and I'm not sure if I wanna know what it was.

There was a knock on my door that brought me out of my thoughts. "Go away," I said to whoever was on the other side of the door. "Please let me in Misun. It's me, Wooyoung," he said. "No," I said and started to cry harder. "Please Misun. Please let me in," he said and you could tell by his voice that he was trying not to cry. I hate it when he cries so I opened the door.

The second I opened the door he pulled me into a hug. I hugged him back and cried on his shoulder. I could feel my shirt start to get wet on my shoulder. He was crying too. I pulled away from him to look at him but noticed the other 7 boys standing behind him. They all had a worried look on their faces. I looked back at Wooyoung and saw that he was still crying.

"Please stop crying Woo," I said as I wiped his tears away. "What do you aspect? I haven't seen you, my best friend, for 6 fucking years!" He said, clearly upset. "I know. I'm sorry," I said and looked down. "Why did you run away on my birthday? More importantly, why didn't you come to me? Why here of all places?" He asked. You could hear the pain in his voice as he spoke. I looked up at him shocked by what he just asked me. "What are you talking about?" I asked him and he looked at me like I was stupid."Your mom said you ran away," he said. "I didn't run away. She brought me here saying she was tired of me and didn't want me anymore. You know that I would have gone to you if I ran away Woo," I said and started to cry again.

"Wait," he said and looked like he just realized something. He turned to the others before asking, "Can you guys let us talk alone for a bit?" "Sure, text me if you need anything. We'll go talk with the other girls," the one with sharp eyes said. They all looked at me before walking away and I just smiled softly in response.

Once the others had gone downstairs Wooyoung turned to face me and said, "Let's talk in your room." I just nodded and let him in my room. I went and sat on my bed while he closed the door. "Misun...." he started, "was your mom the reason you always had cuts and bruises on you when we were younger?" He finished. I could see the sadness on his face and even hear it in his voice. I knew that if I spoke I would start crying again so I just nodded my head and looked away from him. I could hear him walking towards me and felt the bed sink when he sat next to me. "How come you never told me?" He asked softly. I started to cry again before I was able to say anything and he instantly hugged me.

After a few seconds I finally said, "Because she told me not to tell anyone or that the beatings would be worse if I did say something. I was scared that she would find out somehow if I told you so I would just lie instead.... I'm sorry," I said the last part real quietly. "Please don't apologize, it's not your fault Misun. If anything, I'm the one that should be sorry," he said softly and hugged me tighter. I just shook my head so I wouldn't cry again and hugged him back tighter.

After a few minutes he pulled away from the hug and took out his phone. I was going to question him about what he was doing but I noticed that he had started to text someone whose contact name was "Babe ❤️". Then I saw what he was texting the person. "Hyung, we have to adopt Misun. Please, I don't want to lose her again," is what the text said. A few seconds later the other person responded with, "I already started to fill out the paperwork to adopt her. I could tell that you weren't going to leave without her so go ahead and tell her and start packing her stuff.

He smiled as he read the message and replied, "Thank you hyung." When he looked at me his smile grew. "Let's start to pack your stuff," he said real happily. "Why me? Why are you picking me?" I asked, really confused. "Because you're my childhood best friend that disappeared 6 years ago and I don't wanna lose you again," he said. I could hear a hint of pain in his voice as he spoke. I didn't want to argue about why he didn't have to pick me so I just said, "Okay," and started to pack my stuff with his help.

It didn't take long for us to finish packing my stuff because I didn't have much. Before we left my room he asked, "Can we talk some more at the house? I still have a few questions." "Yeah, I have some questions as well," I said and smiled at him. He smiled back, "Let's go then." I nodded my head and followed him downstairs to the others.

"She's all packed and ready to go," he said to the others when we got close to them. They all looked at us and one said, "Okay, let's go then. I'm getting tired of all these screaming girls." The others nodded their heads in agreement and stood up. We started to head to the door, and were almost there, when Abby came up to me and slapped me across the face. "What the hell did you do to cause them to pick an ugly bitch like you?" She yelled at me.

I just laughed at her. "What th-'' Wooyoung started before I interrupted him. "Don't Woo, she's not worth it. They picked me because me and Wooyoung are childhood friends. Bye bitch," I said and we walked out. She screamed and tried to follow us but got stopped by the owner of the house. "Dumb ass," I laughed at her.

We walked to their cars and I wasn't expecting them to be so nice. They came in 3 separate cars. A black BMW X6, a red Range Rover Velar, and a dark blue Audi Q8. "You'll ride with me and San," Wooyoung said and pointed to the one with red highlights in his hair. Three of them went to the BMW while the other three went to the Range Rover. Wooyoung, San, and I got in the Audi. "Damn this is nice," I Said to myself as I got into the car. "Wait till you see the house," San said as he started the car and drove off with the others following. I bet the house is nice too.
