KNOWLES HOUSE - FAMILY ROOM - EVENING

Blue and y/n play a DEATHMATCH VIDEOGAME. Sounds of killing fill the air as Beyoncé sets the table for two.

Beyoncé: BLUE!!!

Blue: What?

Beyoncé: Excuse me? You wanna try that again young lady?

Blue: Sorry mama, I meant to say yes ma'am.

Beyoncé: That's better now Would you come here?

Blue: Yes ma'am one minute

Beyoncé : Now, please.

She waits anxiously until she appears.

Blue: Ma'am? I'm in the middle of this game with y/n.

Beyoncé: Dinner's ready. Time for you to
say goodbye.

Blue: I told her she could stay.

Beyoncé : Absolutely not! Not tonight anyway.

Blue :Why not?

Beyoncé: Because ... she's been here all day.

Blue: So!!

Beyoncé: I just think we should have some
family time --

Blue: God mom, what is your problem? First you're all "mi casa es su casa" and now you're kicking her out?

Blue: Look, I've already invited her . If
you don't want her here, you can tell her yourself.

Beyoncé , Blue and Y/n sit at the dinner table, the air is tense.

Y/n: Another delicious dinner, Mrs Knowles . I like what you've done with your potatoes this time.
She doesn't respond.

Y/n: So Blue. What do you think about
Onika?

Blue : What do you mean?

Y/n: She asked me today if you're going
to Homecoming with anyone. She thinks you're "cute."

Beyoncé's eyes dart to y/n with suspicion.

Blue: No way.

Y/n: Seriously, man,

Blue : What'd you tell her?

Y/n: I said you there were
prospects. Blue laughs uproariously.
she's into you.

Y/n: You know how lucky you are? She could have anyone, but she chose you. When a girl gives you an opening like that, you got to jump on it. Isn't that right, Mrs. Knowles?
She looks up at her , her voice cold, her eyes even colder.

Beyoncé :It's up to Blue.
She gets to her feet and empties her plate into the disposal.

Beyoncé: Put your dishes in the sink when
you're finished. She walks out.
