Canon's POV
"Anchors are all lifted, Caesar. We should continue on towards Sunny" (the tree house I forgot the name)
I pull the chains up and leave them on the deck and head towards our luggage. It's filled with Angie and Abby's things..
Dresses, hats, shoes, etc. There's just a lot of things in here, I don't see the need for so much, but if it makes them happy, then there's no harm in it. Under their things, I take my bag and head towards my quarters, I open my bag and on top is the red box that contains the snowflake pin I bought.
Was this actually worth the candles?
Will they like the pin? This is starting to look like a bad idea, I'm not even sure if they like these kinds of things.
The thoughts are ringing in my head, so I tuck it away further down my bag and leave the bag in my closet, and sit on my bed, rethinking my life choices.
*knock knock*
"Canon! Are you in there?~"
I look towards my door, hearing Angie's high-pitched voice along with giggling. Abby must be there too, then.
I open the door for them, and they invite themselves in. Situations like this make me happy with the fact that I don't have sisters. The girls continue giggling, and that can only mean one thing.
They know what I bought.
"So.. that snowflake pin looks really pretty~"
"I agree!! Oh, I didn't know Canon had such an eye for such things."
They move towards me with sinister looks
"So you were snooping through my things. How nice.. What? Do you want it or something? Because I'm not giving it to y-"
"NO, we don't want it. We just want to know if it's for Y/N, " Angie exclaims, interrupting me. "If it is, give it to them now! We know you like them. "
"You guys are always up to trouble, I wish you'd invest more of this into your schooling. It's not for Y/N."
I lied, opening my closet and grabbing the pin
"I bought it cause it was pretty. It's for.. Felicia (Flight guide)"
Felicia is a childhood friend of mine, and I've treated her like a sister I never wanted. Since we are going towards her islands soon for some cargo, I used her for my lie. Sorry Felicia, forgive this idiot
"FELICIA??? No, it isn't! Stop lying!"
Abby accuses me and points at my face.
"You better start believing it because it IS for her. No way in hell will I buy Y/N a present ever. " I swipe away her hand and return the pin to the box and back into my bag.
"I heard my name. What's going on?"
I turn around and see Y/N standing in the doorway looking at the 3 of us.
Y/N's POV
I was just walking in the hallway when I heard Canon mention my name. The door was open, so I asked about the situation.
"I heard my name. What's going on?"
The 3 of them stare at me in shock as if I were a krill or something.
"NOTHING! Nothing. Nothing's going on, Y/N! We were just talking about how.. your hair looks today! Very nice!" Abby grabs Angie's hand and
bolts out the door.
"Ouch! You're pulling too hard! Uh- bye Y/N! Bye, Canon!" Angie yelps and bids goodbye, leaving me and Canon alone in his room.
"What was that about?"
I sit on his bed in question and look at him for an answer.
"Who knows... maybe the 2 just want to bother me. You know how they are"
He scoffs
"I guess? Why did you call out my name anyway? Do you need something?"
Kanon scratches the back of his head and averts his eyes.
"It's nothing, nothing you should be thinking about.."
Suddenly, I notice the girls behind Canon's door pointing at his bag as if they want me to look into it. I mouthed the word "What?" As to not alert Canon but it failed cause he turned around.
"Hm? What the- you brats!"
Canon runs after the 2 as I hear them laughing and giggling echo in the ship's halls. Now's my chance to check his bag!
*Canon's POV*
5 minutes of running was all it took to hunt down these girls and force them to do their chores for the constant bothering.
"Jeez, I can never get a moment of peace." I muttered as I started walking back to my room.
"I'm back, Y/N. Sorry about tha-"
I was stuck in place when I saw Y/N with the snowflake pin box in hand and a surprised face.
"Oh he-hey Canon, this is a really nice pin. Who's it for?"
They asked for ever so politely.
"Why? Do you like it?"
"What?"
"If you like it, keep it."
"H-HUH??"
"Ah, this wasn't the ideal plan but.at least I technically gave it to them.." I thought to myself while holding my head. I walk towards Y/N and sit down on the bed with them.
"Hold still, I'll put it on for you."
For some reason as I was putting the pin on their white hair, I can hear my own heartbeat beat in my ears... this feels odd...
"There you go.."
My heart skipped a beat once I saw how I was right, the pin did look pretty good on Y/N.
"Thanks, Canon. Why are you giving it to me? Who is this for in the first place?" You asked while touching the pin.
"I don't know...to both questions. I just felt like doing it and giving it to you I guess..." I lied right through my teeth slyly...
"But do you like it then? I can take it back if you don't want it."
"NO! No.. it's great! I like it a lot!"
Y/N suddenly grabs both my hands with both her hands and holds them tightly. My face is slightly red as I was surprised by the sudden action.
"Thank you, Canon."
Y/N smiled at me as they thanked me. That's the moment I realized that I really was in love..
