Chapter 11

"Don't leave people,who are ready to grow with you"

Meera went inside and saw Amrutha,Kajal and Rudra.Rishab stood beside her.Amrutha came forward and hugged Meera.She was startled for a second.

Karan and Kriya looked at their grandmother shocked while Rishab saw the reports in Rudra's hand.Amrutha broke the hug and went towards Rishab and Kissed his forehead.

"I'm gonna become a great-grandmother."Amrutha said while she kissed Rishab's head.She made both of them sit and took the evil eyes off.Meera just looked at her.

She didn't want to judge but just because she somehow got to know about the child and now she is treated well.Meera didn't speak anything to them and just let them enjoy this feeling.

Kajal walked slowly and sat beside her and caressed her face."I'm so happy Meera.Your child is a blessing to our family."Kajal said and Meera smiled a bit.The only person she loves.

"Thank you Meera!"Rudra said while Meera smiled.Karan and Kriya stood there not knowing what to react.

"Karan Kiu you guys knew about it?"Rudra asked and they both nodded negatively.Meera looked at them and they blinked their eyes.

"We are just shocked.Congragulations bhaiya bhabhi"Kriya said and hugged Meera and then went towards Rishab who looked at her.He looked at her,eyes red and tired.She hugged him and smiled a bit.

"Meera,from today onwards,you are not going to the office. You'll rest only"Amrutha said and now Meera looked at her.

"Pregnancy isn't a restriction dadi.I am sorry but I won't stop working just because I'm pregnant."Meera said and went to his room.Kajal looked at Amrutha who was angry.

"The audacity of this girl."Amrutha said and looked at Kajal and Rudra.

"She is right.This is just a phase and it doesn't change anything"Rishab too said and storms off to his study.Karan and Kriya too left the room with the smile on their face.

This was the first time he supported Meera against their grandmother.Kajal and Rudra smiled and sat beside Amrutha.

"Maa,Things are changing and so is the generation and our Meera is a sophisticated girl.She already compromised a lot when Kajal was not well.Let her decide what she wants."

Rudra said while Amrutha left the hall and went to her room.Meera sat on the bed as some tears cascade down her eyes.She looked at the frame where Rishab was kissing her cheeks.

Meera stood up and went towards the vanity and removed all the jewellery.She quickly wore a comfortable dress and laid down.Meera's was about to fall in a deep slumber when her phone went off.It was a private number.

"Hello"Meera said.

"Jellybean.Congragulations!"The person from the other side spoke.Meera woke up in panic.

"What do you mean?"Meera asked and the person from the other side laughed.

"Jellybean you aren't that innocent.You're gonna be mother of m----"He started speaking but was interrupted by Meera's loud yell.

"He is Rishab Ji's blood."Meera yelled and he started laughing.

"I know jellybean.I am coming back soon.Get ready to meet your nightmare"The person said and declined the call.Meera looked at her phone and cursed.Tears streaming down her eyes.

"He is just making me feel helpless.He is in jail."Meera chanted and took a deep breath.She stood up and went to get her inhaler.She took it and found it empty.Meera closed her eyes and took breaths.She tried to calm her anxiety.

She walked towards the door slowly.She opened the door and found Rishab talking on the phone with someone.She held his collar and he turned towards her.

"I--in--inhaler"Meera said and Rishab looked at her and held her closely to him.He caressed her back and she was losing consciousness.

"MARY,BRING HER INHALER"Rishab yelled and the lady raj towards the kitchen cabinet.Hearing him yell,everyone came out to see her in his arms.

Mary ran and passed the inhaler to him and he made her use the inhaler.Meera used the inhaler but still lost her consciousness.

"Meera,wake up.Meera!Meera"Rishab patted her cheeks.Kajal looked at her and Rishab and asked him to lay her on the bed.He tucked her in bed while Rudra called the doctor.

The doctor arrived quickly and started treating her.After giving her vitamin injection she went outside where the entire family was there.

"Mr.Shekhawat,I wanna speak to you alone"The doctor said and Rishab nodded and guided her to his study after making sure Kajal was with her.Rishab sat on  the couch and asked the doctor to sit on the opposite couch.

"She is having anxiety attacks lately.As I spoke with Dr.Sethia,I suggest you should take her to morning and night walks,she can work and travel but keep her away from stress.There are some complications in the pregnancy and the trimester is critical."The doctor said to which Rishab nodded.

"This is a beautiful phase Rishab.Your like my son and I believe you'll take care of her."The lady said and Rishab looked at her.Is he capable of taking care of her,he thought.

"I'll try my best aunt.Come,I'll help you out."Rishab said and the lady nodded and walked out with Rishab.

He walked in his room and saw Meera sitting with support of pillows and Kajal was scolding her.Meera looked at Kajal with tears.Kajal wiped her tears and kissed her.

Meera nodded her head and then looked at Rishab who was working on his phone.Kajal left the room and Rishab locked the door and walked towards Meera and sat on the bed in front of her.

"Is someone bothering you Meera?"Rishab asked and Meera looked down.

"No one"Meera said and looked aside.

"There are differences between us but if someone is bothering you.I'm always there"Rishab said and Meera looked at him.

"I know that.Can you just buy me some chocolate ice cream"Meera said as her cravings had started.Rishab looked at her and nodded his head negatively.

"It's winter season and---"Rishab started speaking but was interrupted by Meera.

"I asked for ice cream and not your lecture"Meera said and Rishab looked at her.

"I'm not getting you anything"Rishab said and went and started working on his laptop.Meera knew it was a waste talking to him so she directly called Ayush.

If he is arrogant and stubborn then she knows how to make him agree.Ayush picked up the call in the third ring and Meera intentionally kept the phone on speaker.

"Bol pagal ladki"Ayush said and Meera cursed her fate and she looked at Rishab who was least bothered.

"Bhai,I want to eat ice-cream.Can you come here please"Meera said and Rishab looked at her but continued working.

"Brooo!Just for your ice-cream should I come 12kms away"He whined and Meera wanted to hit him but controlled the urge.She didn't want to think about the male who called her and the best way to relieve her stress is ice-cream.

"Ayu!I have news for you.I want to meet you."She said crying.Rishab looked at her acting and he thought his brother-in-law is genius enough to understand that.

"Ro mat bacha.I will be there in the next 30 minutes."Ayush said panicking.Meera hummed and disconnected the call.Meera looked at Rishab and smiled.He was already irritated and now the most annoying person was coming to his place.

"She knows how to get on my nerves every time."Rishab mumbled and started working.
