Saide was sat in the same stool she was yesterday, where she ordered her favourite milkshake and was suddenly greeted by Eyeball. Today she had ordered the same milkshake but there was no Eyeball to be seen. Since their conversation she had felt really nervous about running into him. She felt an attraction that was very new to her, an attraction that made her want to avoid eyeball and just watch him from a far. She got off her stool and sat at the back of the diner that had a view of the window but if anyone came in they couldnt see her. She had a crush, a strange crush where she didnt know if she wanted to be with him but she definetly wanted to do things to him.
About 2 minutes later, Saide was half way through her drink when she heard the door open. She sunk into her seat and tried to listen out for a voice. "Hey Brenda,can i have a banana milkshake" , Saide recognised that voice straight away , it was Denny Lachance. She sprung out of her seat and shouted Denny to come and sit with her. Her and Denny had been friends for years, when she was younger her and Denny would hang out all the time but now they are busy with their own lives they only see eachother once in a while.
"Oh my god,where have you been?" Saide asked as soon as Denny sat down. "Playing football,dad's been on my case about it".
"Ohyeahh i watched you,your dad wants you to go pro?"
"Yeah,he never stops talkin about it,but anyway howve you been i havent seen you in months"
"Ive been bored,all my friends are on holiday for the entire summer break so i have nothing to do"
"You should come out with us tonight,were going to a party, Carol palmer,you know her?"
"Yeah shes in my English"
"You should come,ill pick you up at 9 yeah".
Saide nodded and Denny stood up to go "hey you just got here". "Ive gotta go training Collins,dont forget about tonight" Denny kissed Saide on the cheek before slurping his milkshake down and giving her a wink goodbye.
Everyone in the school thought Denny and Saide should get together, he was her type and she was his type. Maybe if they werent such good friends something could happen but Saide alwaya said "no way hes like my brother". Which was a slight exaggeration but she wanted people off her case.
Saide took the long ruite home so it was less likely she would run into Eyeball. Which seemed like a completely pointless idea when she saw him stood outside of his house smoking a ciggerette. She mentally slapped herself that she didnt realise shed see him here,he lives across the street. She knew shed have to go and speak to him but she felt herself shaking and it seemed like she forgot how to walk. She decided to give him a wave so she could test wether he wanted to talk. He waved back and made his way over. Ever since yesterday Eyeball felt confident and the first thing he wanted to do when he woke up was to talk to Saide. He was gonna go out looking for her but his mother was having some sort of breakdown because his Dad hadnt come home again lastnight.
"Hey" Eyeball said flicking his ciggerette on the ground and giving Saide his famous cheeky smile.
"Hey" Saide said , lost for words.
"You got any plans today?" Eyeball asked stepping abit closer. Saide thought about the party she was invited to but she knew Denny wouldnt want Eyeball there so she just replied "no,have you?".
"Ill Probably go to Irbys,play a little pool"
"Are you good?"
"Im the best"
"Well you obviously havent seen me play"
"Ooh well i might have to now"
"Are all your friends gonna be there" Saide asked.
"Nah theyll be playin mailbox baseball,i couldnt go cos,well my ma shes not doin to well.
"Im sorry,do you wanna go and play some pool then" She said linking his arm and pulling him gently forward in the direction of irbys. Eyeball looked back at his house for a second and then looked at the girl of his dreams and then he nodded and walked with Saide to play some pool. The conversation was mainly about Eyeballs mother as Saide was concerned that she was taking her son away when he needed her. He reasured her that it would be fine and then there was a moment where they both looked into eachothers eyes and Saide blushed like crazy while Eyeball smiles uncontrollably.
10 minutes later Saide and Eyeball had set up a game of pool. Saide was winning and she wouldnt let Eyeball forget it "didnt you say you were the best?" eyeball sighed and Saide carried on "something about being unbeatable?" , "i never said that" Eyeball said "thats because its not true" She boasted. Eyeball laughed and swigged his beer. "Im letting you win" Eyeball said while taking a shot and missing . "see" eyeball said refering to his poor attempt. Said laughed "youre shit" , Eyeball pretended to look shocked "such dirty language for a such a sweet little girl". Saide bent over infront of him to take a shot. Eyeball stared at her ass, rather fixated on it. Saide got up and moved around the table ready to take a winning shot. Eyeball watched as her hips moved in her shorts and her peachy ass stuck out. Her tanned legs went on forever and he just wanted to grab her. Eyeball began to day dream about Saide,lying on his bed. He hadnt even noticed shed won the game and came running up to him. "Yes!" She shouted jumping up and down. She ran up to Eyeball and threw her arms around him , he snapped back into reality and saw Saide infront of him with a big smile. He instantly wanted to lean in wanting to feel his lips on hers. "Well well well" the two of them heard. They moved their heads at the same time and saw Ace and Billy stood next to them. "Looking after ma are we?" Ace asked Eyeball . Saide let go of Richard and stepped back away from the boys. "Shes good now,so i just came here-" , "came here with your little bitch,wheres the loyalty?" Ace said looking Saide up and down , "come on man dont call her that" Eyeball shouted, "i think i should go Richy" Saide said making her way out of the bar. "No , Saide, wait" , "its okay ill talk to you later" she replied with a small smile. Eyeball stared at Ace , "fuck man,why couldnt you be nice" Eyeball said while slouching down in his seat and grabbing his beer in anger. "Picking chicks before us" Ace said while shaking his head. "Thats a big no no Richy" Billy said making fun of him. "Shutup".
