~Dabria Esmeray Marciano
A bucket of cold water, that's what jerked me awake. My hands were locked with hand cuffs to the arms of the wooden chair i was seated on. I tried to blink and adjust my eyes with the darkness in the room. The room was big with no windows to escape not even a single fucking light. My shoulders tensed it was the basement of our old warehouse where we used to keep weapons and other warfare things.
It was utterly dark, it only suspected my suspicion right. It was night. I need to find a way to get away, just a way to unlock my hands. I tried jerking my hands but hissed when pain shot through my arms.
Fuck.
I took in a deep breath and waited for them to come down. It was the only way I could get close to get the keys. Closing my eyes I tried to work out a plan to get me out of here. It would take me an hour of running to reach our current base. I groaned kicking the floor.
The sound of shuffling spiked up my radar as I looked around clueless of where the door might be. But it was over as soon as a gate to my right side opened. Alaric Marcel walked in with Grey at their tails. His eyes were red. He was high. "Well looks like we have Donna under us now." I scoffed "you wished you'll ever have me under you."
"Ah, still that fierce little girl." Alaric chuckled. "We don't want to harm you, mery. Just step down from your position and hand it over to Marcel back." I threw my head back laughing but then I looked at him, the shadow covered half of their faces. I looked at Grey dead in the eyes. Before I spit at him and said. "Over my dead fucking body."
Marcel narrowed his eyes at me but then smiled like a hyena and walked over to me crouching down. Placing his hands on my knees my whole body tensed. He squeezed my knees. And looked at me. "See dearest daughter, if that's what you wish for. We can give you that." I glared down at him.
I was helpless, I could fend for myself if they tortured me—which they would. I breathed through my nose as i looked at them blankly. "Aren't you going to say any fucking thing!" Alaric roared from beside Grey. I tilted my head so I could see him dead in the eye. "What do you want me to say Alaric? That your own son hates you. Or that you are just a bitch for Marcel following his order like his good little bitch." His face turned red as he stormed over to me and slapped me across my face. Licking my lips I tasted blood. Spitting down on the floor I looked back him, glaring at him and then I smiled."You wanted me to say something Alaric, I stated the mere facts."
"Stop this nonsense!" Marcel roared once again. I looked back at my father. "Why? Don't you want Alaric to know that he'll always be a side kick of yours. That his son will never get what he dreamed for himself. To be the Don?" I looked at Alaric who was staring at Marcel. "Poor Alaric I think you time to process, after all going against you Donna is the worst form of betrayal. Your life will be at my sake." Marcel's fist came across my jaw turning my head sideways from the impact.
His hands came around my jaw as he leaned over me. "You my filthy child, aren't you so full of yourself. Thinking of turning us against each other so you sneak out." He gave me one of his sick smile before he continued. "So you see, if you wish to give over the throne over your dead body than so be it. But your death won't a pleasant action I might warn you."
I smiled up at him. "Bring it on." I was stuck here with them until I find a way out but I won't let them she through me. Will not allow them to break me down. I gulped down and glared at Alaric who smiled at me before punching my in my abdomen. I took in a deep breath fisting my hands. His fingers gripped my hair as he tugged at them I glared up at him gritting my teeth when I felt the sharp tip of knife on my left bicep. "Let's put out a word which will define you for the rest of your life." He smiled before he started dragging the knife into my skin.
My breathing grew faster as I tired to clench and unchench my hand to shake of the pain. But nothing helped. I bit down my tongue from making any sound and tasted blood on my tongue. Sweat dripped down my temple down to my neck.
I didn't know how much time did it take for Alaric to complete whatever shit he was dragging on my skin. But it stung like bitch. "Ah, All done." He grinned at me and patted my shoulder like he has done something worth being proud. I tilted my head watching as blood slithered down my arm dropping onto the dark floor.
My breath got stuck in my throat. 'Filthy' that's what he has drawn out on my bicep. My eyes burned like my inside as memories came crashing down on me. But I shook them away I won't let them break me. I won't let them see the effect they have on me. "Let's add some fun to it now." Alaric nodded like a mad man and grabbed a bottle of whiskey he got out from the dark corner of the room. I sat still and tensed looking at him. Watching as he unscrewed the cap and tilted the bottle pouring the liquid down on my fresh wound. I cried out in pain as I tried to jerk my hand thinking it would magically be free.
"You know you father never really wanted you. I still remember the day after you were born and he was drinking himself off. Tell me—wishing that you weren't born. He wanted no heir he wanted to rule till the end. But because of your fucking grandma he had to make sure you were a happy child"
My eyes burned with tears but i didn't let them fall. I closed my eyes breathing heavily. But that didn't last to late. I gasped out on pain when another punch was landed at my abdomen. Alaric raised his hand again slapping my across the face. I grinned back at him spitting blood on his face. But that only seemed to anger him more. I watched in dread as he picked his bloody bladw again and jabbed it into my right thigh. I hissed—but nothing more than that. I won't scream, I won't cry, I won't beg.
"That's enough Alaric." Marcel voice boomed as Alaric nodded Marcel came forward leaning in. "I hope you've learnt your lesson Dabria, I would hope for you to submit to me tomorrow or it will be your last day." He said patting my cheeks he left with Alaric. Grey stool their staring at me I scoffed at turned my head away. The darkness engulfed me before I heard the door close shut.
