The Opening

Percy's POV

I held my daughter in my arms while our bags were piled at my feet.

Everyone was gathered at the door.

Jason, Reyna, Lou Ellen, Will, and Nico were having a quiet conversation while clinging to the wall of the entrance room to the Hotel From Hell that we were about to escape from. Everyone was congregating in their own little groups while me, Annabeth, Zoë, and Luke were standing on our own.

"Hold this baby," Annabeth said while handing me Luke and going up in front of everyone so she was standing right in front of the door and taking charge of the group like she always does... gods she's so hot when she yells. I handed the three month old baby boy over to Nico so it would be easier for me to pay attention to my girlfriend as she spoke, "Everyone, are you all ready to leave this hell hole?" there was a chorus of cheers until my Wisegirl calmed everyone down, "Calypso will you do the honors of opening the doors, you've been here the longest and you should leave first."

Calypso pushed the doors open and I heard Zoë babbling as she saw the sky, the outside, and light for the first time in her life. I piled out bags onto a trolly and put the twins in their stroller (I had grabbed Luke from his Uncle Nico). Annabeth joined me and we all walked out as she grabbed onto the bag trolly.

"Wow, it's so... different," Clarrise La Rue gasped looking around. Everything was way more futuristic than all of us (except Reyna I guess) were used to. There were flying cars and everything looked rounder (if that makes sense)... it was kinda Star Trek looking (I've never watched it but I've seen Annabeth yelling at the TV because of it). There were robots and people with WAY different clothes than us.

Reyna sighed, "Let me show all of you around your new society and home," she paused looking for somewhere to say where we were, "Manhattan New York, the new city of lights, that was Paris but the government took France over in 3000." She had us walking and took us to a building called 'The New York Relocation Center,' she went to a panel next to the door and touched her hand to it.

"Reyna Avila Ramírez-Arellano, access granted." the robotic voice of what I hoped was the wall-panel-hand-scanning-thingy.

Reyna took us to a wall of screens and tablets, "Put your information into those while I go talk to the people about currency exchange and housing."

I opened the tablet, scanned my hand, (which apparently meant I needed to set up a hand scan ID and put in my information).

I walked over to Annabeth with the kids and she smiled at me, "We need to go get the kids and our Licenses, Forms, and Waivers filled out tomorrow."

I smiled and nodded back at her and Reyna came over to us, holding what I assume to be our Life Pack contents, "So! I have everyone's Life Pack contents, our keys set to open our houses, and our House ID. Now grab the trolleys and go!" I assumed correctly.

We all followed Reyna as she led us to our new home and gave us a tour at the same time, "Tada," she stated unenthusiastically while opening the front door of our GIANT house. We all walked around the first floor while she explained how the house worked. "The computer custom built a home for us once our forms were filled out and I gave them our information, our house ID number is 283735, DO NOT forget that! Now go claim your rooms, Percy and Annabeth yours is connected to a separate baby nursery. Third, fourth, and fifth floor are the bedrooms. The teleporter has instructions on how to use it inside. If there are questions about anything, which I'm sure there will be, just ask me and only two questions per hour EXCEPT if it's VERY IMPORTANT, or if Percy or Annabeth have any questions about childcare or the kids educations or something like that. You two can come to ask me anything any time. Oh! Everything is customizable about your rooms, furniture, wall paint, colors of stuff, and use the Synthesizer in the kitchen to make any food or drink you want when hungry. There are Synthesizers in your rooms to make anything you want appear, like a football or something like that."

Everyone rushed off to explore the house while me and Annabeth teleported straight to the door of what the teleporters called "The Family Bedroom." Me and Wisegirl started customizing our room until we heard whispers of voices outside our door.

"We have to share a room! I can't believe just because we put down that we were... well... you know what i'm saying and it's making us SHARE! Nobody knows that we're dating yet! And our relationship is so new as well!"

"Hey, hey, Sweetheart it's fine, we'll just say it was a mistake and that you don't want to go through the trouble of fixing it and that we can deal with it. Ok?"

"Ok, don't call me 'Sweetheart.'"
   
"Not gonna happen, Sweetheart."

    Once we were finished customizing our room we came out into the kitchen with the kids to hear a conversation about Thalia and Reyna now sharing a room.

    "Not a word." We both whispered to each other in probably-perfect unison. I then was glaring daggers at Reyna along with Jason. Nico was glaring daggers at Thalia, he didn't care that Thalia was the one he was actually related to (we found out that Hazel was Bianca and Nico's half sister. Along with that Me, Thalia, and Jason are cousins who found each other and Annabeth when we ran away. Hazel, Nico, and Bianca are also distant cousins with us as well.), they were still close, don't get me wrong, but Nico and Reyna were as close as the highkey emo boy and his biological sisters are. They say they're each other's siblings anyway.

(Sorry I couldn't update when I said that I would, I was gonna but I was in the car for twelve hours with my annoying sister! You guys will still get this weeks update so don't worry! ALSO I TOTALLY OBLY JUST REALIZED THAT I FORGOT TO ADD PIPER TO THE PEOPLE IN THE GROUP THING IN CHAPTER ONE SO I NEED TO DO THAT IN THE NEXT CHAPTER SO OFF TO EDITING I GO!!! The next few chapters are already pre-written so don't worry about me not updating for those)
