Rachel blanched a little as Loki's magic adjusts the armour he placed on her, it was his own and needed some adjustments, but his armour was made to transform as he did. She didn't really mind wearing Loki's old armour, it's just not her Iron Panther
"Stop squirming." Loki demanded, glaring slightly at Rachel, "You should have named me champion."
"If I had done that, then she'd never fear me. She knows you know how to fight, but she is looking down at me as well." Loki sighs but continues to adjust the armour around Rachel.
"I know this is nothing like your armour, but seeing as you don't have yours and it could be seen as cheating, you will have to deal with this." He pulls the strap taught and backs up looking at Rachel. His dark green and gold armour over a black tunic and trouser he had magically adjusted for her looking comfortable on her, despite her wrinkled nose.
"I feel exposed." Rachel mutters to herself and pouts at her reflection.
"Well, if you had not decided to pick a fight with Sif then maybe you'd have your own armour that fits your preferences." Loki snipes at her, and gets an irritated glare for his efforts.
"I have never been one to stand by as a bully put down others. Sif has been allowed to do as she pleases for too long, and Thor didn't realise he was enabling her all these years. She would never accept it if you took her down, because all she'd see it as is a fluke, but myself? I drop her a peg or two, in a public way such as this, and she'll have no choice but to be constantly reminded of this. There are not many female warriors, and because of that she has gotten big for her breeches, she no longer accepts that there are different ways to do things." Rachel turns and looks at her brother, a flame of determination and passion lighting her emerald eyes, "She is trying to be a woman, fighting to get higher than she is now, whilst holding onto being a man as a warrior. She has forgotten, as she is surrounded by men, that she is a woman and is not to be taken lightly. She has taken everything these men have taught her and not made it something for herself."
"And I suppose you shall remind her that women have their own ways of doing things, and should not be underestimated because they refuse to do it the 'generic' and 'male' way?" Loki says bemused, he stands with his sister, he found his own way as a man and was looked down on as it is generally the way of the woman, whilst Sif is exalted because she went the generic way and fights as a man. Rachel is neither, she has many lessons on different fighting styles, and what she does is make her own within them, adapting and encompassing them within herself.
"You make me sound as though I dislike the 'male' way of doing things." Rachel raises a brow and crosses her arms over her chest.
"Of course not Sister Mine, just that you are going to remind her that just because there is a 'male' way, does not mean it is the right way." Loki gives her a relatively sweet smile, given all the chaos and drama that encircled them.
"Right you are Brother Mine, and it shall be a reminder for a stagnant species." The smirk tugging at Rachel's lips turns to a smug grin.
"Stagnant!? Asgard is the pinnacle of society." Loki exclaims, protecting the home that never treated him right on mere instinct.
"Really now? Where women are meant to be arm candy, seen but not heard. Where men who decide to learn something that is beneficial and yet not wielded by anyone but the women are ostracised. Where there is rampant racism against the second Prince, and newly claimed Princess-" Rachel's nose crinkles a little but moves right on, "Just due to the fact that a war that was ended by the All Father. Oh how about, where you have to be a warrior, but if you're not then obviously there is something wrong with you." Rachel raises a brow at the now grimacing Loki.
