Chapter 2

It's been two months now since Sarah's breakup and she somehow learned to live without Adam but Adam keeps interfering in Sarah's life little by little. His interference makes it almost impossible for Sarah to move on and live her life peacefully.

Jeremy, Sarah's best friend helped her through this hard time to move on with her life. Sarah was always thankful to Jeremy for never leaving her side even though he went through a breakup not a long time ago, he helped Sarah with almost everything.

But one day everything changes, Sarah and Jeremy decide to go outside together to get some fresh air while talking Jeremy out of nowhere said to Sarah,
"Will you be my girlfriend, Sarah?"
Sarah's eyes widened and she started looking at Jeremy with a confused look. Sarah asked him, "What did you say?" Jeremy repeated his question, "I said, will you be my girlfriend?"
Sarah starts laughing at his question and said, "Oh my God Jeremy, you are funny you know that right?"
"I know right, hope I didn't surprise you that much," Jeremy replied.

They both laughed while sitting on a bench. Sarah keeps laughing unaware of the fact that Jeremy is serious about her and wants to love her for the rest of his life but he decides to remain silent and plays along with Sarah as he knows that she would never date anyone again.

After spending some time together, Sarah decides to leave and they both stand up. Before leaving, Sarah whispers in Jeremy's ear,
"Thank you Jeremy for your endless love and support."

And leaves before Jeremy could say anything in return. Jeremy stands there for a while and thought to himself,
"Damn, I wish I could hold you in my arms and kiss you."

But the fear of getting rejected by his best friend kept his mouth shut and he also thought that Sarah was way out of his league. He took a deep breath and went in the opposite direction.
