Draco:
I woke up next to Harry, with his arm around me and the book in his other hand. I smiled and sat up, trying not to wake him. I checked the time, and it was around 9:00 AM. I changed into a light green t-shirt and light yellow shorts for the day, paired with my purple flip-flops. I could wear this instead of robes because apparently Headmistress McGonagall was giving the 8th years more 'freedom' and not making them wear robes. Besides, it was a weekend. Classes wouldn't start for two days. I quietly stepped out of the room and promptly ran into Hermione.
"Oh, hey Draco!" She said, looking up. Her arm was still in her dorm room, and she turned back for a second. "Come on Pansy! We need to go eat. You can't stay in bed forever." She yanked her arm and Pansy tumbled out of the door.
I stared at these two and shook my head. "You two are the most interesting people I've met. Your dynamic is the best."
Hermione grinned and pulled Pansy up. Ron burst out of his door, Blaise dangling over his shoulders. "Hey guys." Ron let Blaise off his shoulders and looked at us. "Well, well. We have the entire new group, except for Harry. Oh, and Ginny and Luna if you count them."
I rolled my eyes and glanced at Harry and I's door and shuffled my feet. I looked back at the others and realized that I was the only one that was actually dressed for the day, except for Hermione. She was wearing an orange t-shirt and white shorts, with black tennis shoes and her hair in a ponytail. "Why are we the only ones that are ready for the day?" I asked, pulling Hermione close to me. Everyone laughed.
"Okay, should we wait for Harry or just go down to the Great Hall?" Hermione asked.
Blaise shrugged. "We could go?"
I nodded. "I think he stayed up a little late reading." That had everyone agreeing to leave. We went down to the Great Hall. There was a separate table in the corner, with the 8th years sitting at it. There was loud chatter coming from the new first years. I looked over to them seeing what they were like, because us 8th years didn't see the opening ceremony. They seemed... loud. And annoying. I shook my head a bit aggressively, not wanting to think bad about anyone. Even 1st years.
Hermione sat down and pulled Pansy down next to her. Blaise and Ron sat across from them. I sat next to the girls, and looked down at the food that was in front of me and looked back up, waiting for Harry. Just as I was about to look away, Harry stumbled into the Great Hall and sat next to me.
"Hey guys." He said, putting his head on the table. I patted his messy black hair and put an arm around him. Hermione smiled at us and propped up her chin with her hands. Harry rolled his head over to look at her. "What?" He asked.
She smiled again. "You two are adorable."
Harry rolled his eyes. "One hug and we're immediately dating?"
Hermione rolled her eyes back and continued eating. When she was done, she pulled Pansy up, who was also done, and left. Ron and Blaise had also left, as well as most of the other 8th years, so it left Harry, me, Seamus and Dean sitting together.
Dean slid over across from us and Seamus followed. "Hey guys." Dean said.
I waved a bit. Harry nodded. "How are you guys?" Harry asked.
Seamus smiled. "We're fine. Well, Dean and I made an appointment with the new potions professor to talk to them."
Harry looked a bit confused. "Slughorn's gone?"
Dean shook his head. "He got an assistant, since he's getting a bit up in the years. He 'needs his rest'." Dean then stood up with Seamus behind him. "Bye guys!"
I looked at Harry and shrugged. "What now?"
He shrugged back at me. "I don't know. Should we go outside? It's pretty nice out."
I nodded and grabbed his hand, pulling him out of the Great Hall and out of the door, up onto the hill by the lake. He laid down, and pulled me next to him. There were a couple other people outside, but not a lot, since it was only 10:30. After I glanced around a bit, I looked over at Harry and burst out laughing.
"What's up?" He asked, sitting up.
I shook my head. "You couldn't have gotten dressed when you woke up?" I poked him in the stomach and laughed again. "You look like you just rolled out of bed."
He stuck his tongue out at me. "I basically just did. Besides, not everyone can be as immaculate as you."
I faked offense and gasped, then laughed again. "Relax, I'm not making fun of you, I personally like the disheveled look. It makes you look cute."
He blushed and looked away from me. "Well, I'm going back up to our room and changing. You coming with me?"
I shook my head. "I'm going to stay down here. I like being in the sun."
He gave me an incredulous look. "Wow, I guess the doomy and gloomy part of you is actually gone." I poked his chest again and turned away from him. He shrugged and stood up, walking back to the school. I smiled.
"Hey Draco." Blaise sat next to me, finally without Ron.
"What happened to Ron? You guys seem to be more attached for some reason."
Blaise shrugged. "He went back to our room."
I nodded. "Same with Harry."
"You two are very close for ex-enemies." He said, one eyebrow raised.
I groaned and halfheartedly hit his arm. "If I know what you're hinting at, no." I sat up and glared at him.
"Wow. Get your head out of the gutter."
I crossed my arms. "My head is as much in the gutter as I am in the closet. Wait..." I stopped. "Wait, stop, never mind."
Blaise laughed. "Thank you for the tremendous amount of gay jokes. I can use them on Ron."
I looked at him with a bit of a confused expression. "I thought you were straight."
He shook his head. "I'm pansexual."
"Ah."
He stared at me. "This conversation is getting awkward."
"Yup."
"Uh... I'm gonna go." He stood up and I smiled and waved at him. When he left, I laid back down and closed my eyes. A few minutes later, I drifted off into a light nap.
