"WOAHH... slow down! What's got you so excited, Channie-hyung?" Jeongin asked as he repeatedly squeezed his boyfriend's hand.
"I'm sorry- I know this'll sound cringy but I have literally missed you the entire day..." The older replied with reddened cheeks, unsure how he was even able to admit his thoughts. The younger was easily flattered and he placed a gentle hand peck on the boy's cheek with a soft giggle.

"Oh- how did your maths quiz go? Last night you told me you were really worried about it." Jeongin froze in place and he forced a sickeningly huge smile onto his face. "I got some marks off, definitely not a perfect score but I'm-I'm happy with my grade."

His score wasn't a bad grade by any means but compared to his fellow classmates, he was only a few spots above the bottom scorer. Jeongin's parents found out and they were absolutely furious, saying that their "precious money" was wasted on tuition for the boy. He tried, he really did but the overwhelming amount of information required was unable to stick in Jeongin's head. His best efforts weren't good enough for anyone.

He didn't want Chan to worry, he didn't want anyone to worry, otherwise things would be made a big deal and Jeongin hated that sort of attention on him. He already had many eyes on him, teachers and tutors, fellow classmates, his friends, even JYP. The boy was unsure if he could handle anymore pressure. Lying to Chan would allow him to not only not put anymore stress that the older already had but also to let Chan stay fond of Jeongin's parents.

The last thing he wanted was his boyfriend and his parents to have a falling out when they already hated the fact that Jeongin was gay.

"That's good to hear, Innie, I know how much pressure your parents put on you."
"Yeah! Totally..." Jeongin faked a grin as he squeezed the elder's hand, secretly panicking and feeling extremely ashamed.

The younger knew it was wrong to lie, it really went against his conscious to not be transparent with the boy he loved the absolute most.

"Wait- are we really going to study? I left my things in my locker because I've finished all my work." Seungmin asked the older, scratching his neck.
"No... I just... y'know..." Hyunjin pressed his lips into a thin line before sighing.
"You want to talk about us? I've been wanting to talk to you too." The younger replied, feeling his hands clench.

"In that classroom... we kissed... you told me you still loved me. Did you really mean it?"
"I- well- could we sit down first?" They both stopped in their paths and took the time to find a bench to sit on. They were uncomfortably close, they shoulders brushing every once in a while and Hyunjin could feel Seungmin slowly shifting towards the opposite side of the seat.

"I- I don't know what's wrong with me." The younger muttered, his eyes filled with fear.
"What do you mean?" The older asked, reaching his hand towards his ex's, but the younger slapped it away and huffed. "I don't know why... I don't know why I'm still so mad at you. I want to forgive you, but my heart hurts too much.

Hyunjin... you're my first love and never had I thought I would find someone like you and the day you and Changbin kissed... I couldn't handle it. It still burns to think that you... and he... I thought you didn't love me anymore and I swore I'd never love again."

"You have no idea how sorry Changbin and I are. It was a rough day for him and you know I would never do anything to hurt you. I'm just... so, so sorry." Hyunjin begged as he ran his hand through his hair as the stress started to creep on him.
"You don't have to be sorry, there's nothing you can do, I just... I think we need some time apart, I need to accept what happened. You didn't do anything wrong, I know you won't rush me to heal, but I fear I will for you."

Seungmin's heart broke as Hyunjin's lips quivered. The older softly cradled the younger's cheek in his hand and let out a shaky sigh.
"If that's what you really want, okay... we'll spend some time apart. I love you so much, Minnie..." Hyunjin whispered softly as his eyes brimmed with tears.

The younger was trembling in the older's touch, it was only making it harder to leave.
"I love you too... so fucking much..."

Seungmin abruptly stood up from the bench, quickly followed by Hyunjin whose eyebrows had furrowed.
"I should go." The younger muttered, now refusing to make eye contact with the older. They both said their goodbyes and left on their own accords, splitting paths.

But somehow, it felt like an eternity already.

"...and I'm the captain of the dance club at school."
"That's the bare minimum since I've been spending so much money on ballet lessons since you were still in a diaper, Yeji." Her mother stated with an obvious eye roll. "It's incredibly embarrassing you almost lost against that Shin Ryujin, she's far below your level!"

San could feel the anger exuding from his fiancé. He knew shit was going down for sure.

The girl slammed her fists on the table and her cat-like eyes were fiercer than ever, but they soon softened when she made eye contact with her father.

"I- I apologise... I need to go powder my nose."
"Alright and fix the hair, you look a mess tonight."

Yeji held back her tears as she bowed to both sets of parents before quickly making her way to the bathroom. "Do- do you all mind if I go to console my fiancé?" San asked as he slowly elevated from his seat. "Of course not, I hope you can aid her in getting her act together. She's a wreck." Mr. Hwang spat with a clear look of disgust on his face.

Before San could insult his future father-in-law, he made his way to the opposite side of the restaurant where the bathrooms were. His friend was crouching on the floor, several droplets of tears slowly dripping off of her face.

"If only they knew the truth. I love Ryujin... but they'd never understand. You should see how scared Hyunjin is every time we have a family dinner. They bombard him with bachelorettes and all I could see is a very sad kid, sounds like I'm talking about myself but your get the point." Yeji laughed to her self and softly dabbed her tear-stained cheeks with a tissue.

"I know exactly how you feel. I'm constantly paranoid every time I'm with Wooyoung in public because my worst fear is that my parents are going to find out that  we're secretly dating. Parents have good intentions but they don't know anything about us, we're still their little baby in their eyes." San opened his arms up and Yeji waddled as she reached out to hug her friend.

"To be honest, I couldn't have had a better beard(1)." San whispered as he pulled away.
"Same, but also you need to change your lock-screen, you and Wooyoung look so cute in the photo but you're being too obvious."

"But we're matchi-"
"No!"
"... fine..."
