Peter's pov

As I glance across the room, my eyes follow Alex walking over to sit down next to Jack. My heart races, and I can't help but bite my lip, feeling an overwhelming sense of concern. Jack always seemed like a decent guy on the surface, with his bright smile and friendly demeanor. However, I know all too well that his outward appearance is just a facade hiding something sinister underneath.

⚠️Mention of r@pe⚠️

Just last year, I learned that he had attempted to rape Mj during a party we were invited to. The memory of her utter fear and pain when she confided in me is still vivid in my mind. Since then, we have made it our responsibility to warn others about Jack's true nature. But I never thought that someone close to me like Alex would end up in his company.

I shift my gaze towards Mj who is sitting in front of me, and it is clear from her tense posture that she is thinking the same thing, we need to protect Alex from Jack at all costs. Just as I have gathered my belongings and prepared to approach her, the piercing sound of the bell rings throughout the room, signalling the end of lunch break.

The sudden chaos of students scrambling to gather their things and head off to their next classes fills the room, making it impossible for me to make my way towards Alex. I try to call out her name from across the room, but there is no way she can hear me amidst all the clamour.

My anxiety reaches its peak as I watch helplessly while Alex continues chatting with Jack unaware of the potential danger he poses. Despite feeling defeated by the situation, I remind myself that this isnt over yet. As soon as my next class ends, I will find Mj and together we will warn Alex about Jack before it is to late.

For now, though, all I can do is hope that nothing terrible will happen in the short time they spent together, and that we will be able to intervene in time to keep her safe.

Alex's pov

Once the final class of the day wraps up, I spot Jack waiting for me just outside the classroom door. Together, we head towards the parking lot, chatting about our day and plans for the evening. As we approach my car, I notice that the same mysterious car from this morning is parked right beside mine. Feeling a twinge of unease but not wanting to dwell on it, I shrug it off and unlock my car.

I slide into the driver's seat, taking a moment to close my eyes and trying to clear my head of the thoughts about the strange car and its ominous occupant. Jack, ever observant, glances over with concern as he buckles his seatbelt.

"Hey, you alright?" he asks in a gentle tone.

I nod, avoiding eye contact as I flash him a small smile.

"Yeah, I'm fine,"I assure him before turning on the ignition and putting the car into gear.

We drive away from school and towards our destination, the movie theater.

Once we arrive at the theater and purchase tickets for the latest blockbuster show, we head inside and find our seats. The lights dim as the movie begins to play, but I find myself unable to focus on what's happening on-screen. My thoughts keep circling back to the eerie presence of that car and its unknown driver from earlier today.

Sensing my distraction, Jack discreetly gives my arm a gentle nudge.

I shake myself out of my thoughts as he whispers softly, "You want to go? You look bored."

I take a quick glance around at our fellow moviegoers before replying in a hushed voice, "Sorry... Is that okay?"

"Of course!" Jack says with an understanding smile. "I know a place we could go to instead."

With that affirmation, we quietly slip out of our seats and leave the dark auditorium behind. As we exit through the theater doors, I can't help but feel grateful for Jack's support and understanding as we head off to explore a new destination together.

Peter's pov

I wasn't able to reach Alex in time, and the realization hit me like a wave. My heart pounding, I sprint into the living room of the tower, my eyes wide and filled with panic.

As I burst into the room, everyone turns to look at me. Ms. Romanoff, who had been reading in a corner, is the first to voice her concern. Her brow furrows, she sets her book down and gently asks, "Peter, what's wrong? Are you okay?"

I can barely breathe as I shake my head, trying to find words that seem too hard to come by. "It's Alex," I stammer out.

The tension in the room grows thick at the mention of her name. Everyone stops what they're doing and turns their full attention to me. It's as if everything else ceases to be important in that moment.

I take a deep breath before continuing. "She's hanging out with Jack right now"

The reaction is immediate, worry fills their faces because they know all about Jack's horrific actions and how he had assaulted MJ. Still gasping for air and struggling to keep my emotions in check, I share more of the details of how I found out about their meeting and my fears for Alex around Jack.
