I pull up to the police station and walk into the back. I see Graham and Emma. "GRAHAM GET THE FUCK OUT!" I say pointing out the door. "I'll just go...patrol my office." he says a little waver in his voice.
I see a box of donuts. I take one with chocolate and sprinkles. I bite into it. "Im gonna make this quick because I only have 10 minutes before I have to be back at Grannies. David left his wife and now he's asked me to meet him at the bridge tonight if i don't he'll think I don't feel the same way as him when I like him so much it makes me wanna shoot him and then myself." I say in one breath. "First off, don't do that. Second, I'd go." She states. "Excuse me?" "Well he left her. It's one thing to say that he wants you but it's another to actually make a choice and now he has. That's all you can ask for." She explains.

I check the time on my phone. I hear a twig snap and look behind me. "Took you long enough." I say with a sly smile. "You came." He says winded. "You sound shocked and kind of disappointed." I say placing my hands in my pockets. "I remember." My eyes wide. "Kathryn?" "Everything." He says walking down the hill.
There's a silence and I put two and two together. "You love her." "I don't know." He says conflicted. "But I know I did. I remember how I felt. And...I think I have to honor that." I scoff.
