What do it do?

"Look at that, my fine feathered friends! Not a bad but of work, even if I do say so myself." Lawrence said as he hung up a big birdhouse on the tree in the front yard. "Just wait till you see the hidden surprise." He pressed the big red button on the front and it opened up to reveal a little fountain and a couple things for the birds to play with.

He looked up at the birds in the tree but they were just staring at him. "Oh, nothing? Not even a sausage?" He shrugged and started to walk away. "No matter. Wait till Linda and the kids see it. It'll blow their tiny minds. Well, not their tiny minds, that's not fair."

The trio was sat on the couch in the Flynn-Fletcher home as they watch TV.

"You're watching the Uncovery Channel. We now return to Rrrrr?"

"Many believed that in the 1950s, a UFO crash landed in Roswell, New Mexico, but the scientists had no idea what the advanced technology was or how it worked. To find out, they used a process call reverse engineering. By closely examining the individual parts, they were able to built their own craft and figure out what it does and how it dies what it does. Way to go, reverse engineering!"

Phineas grinned. "Cool!"

"Okay, mom. I've gotta get to Stacy's! Love ya, bye!" Candace called back as she stepped out of the house and walked toward the road. She then looked in front of her and stopped when she saw a tall robot-looking thing in the front yard. "Mom! Mom! Mom! Come here! Look what the boys and their friend made in the front yard! Quick!"

"Oh, yah, you're in such a-" Linda stepped outside and froze when she saw the machine. "The kids built that?"

Candace grinned. "Yes! They're always making crazy things like this. See? See?"

Linda walked over to her to look at it. "What is it?"

"Well, obviously, is a-" Candace cut herself off and frowned. "Why dont you ask-slash-bust them?"

"Ask-slash-bust who?" Phineas questioned as the trio made their way outside to see what all the yelling was about.

Linda glaredbat them. "Do you mind telling me what this is and why you built it in our frontyard?"

The kids looked at it. "Um, we didn't build this, mom." Phineas told her.

Candace cheered. "Ha! Quick, bust 'em- wait, you didn't?"

"Not that I'm aware of, no. Ferb? Piper?"

The other two shook their heads.

"No one is going anywhere until we figure out what this is where it came from." Linda told them.

Phineas hummed. "Let's see what this red button's all about."

"Don't touch it!" Linda ordered and all the kids froze before they could touch it. "Nobody touches it! I'm calling your father." She then left back inside the house.

Piper stared at it for a moment. "Hey! Why don't we reverse engineer it? Then we can find out what it does!"

Phineas grinned and looked at his brother. "I guess Piper knows what we're gonna do today."

"Think again, twerps." Candace cut in. "Mom said no touchy-touchy."

"We don't need to touchy-touchy." Phineas told her. "We have a portable electronic scanner, gumption, and another portable electronic scanner."
